Moira nerf nedded

Moira is one of the easiest characters to play but has a great ability to turn the game.

  • Almost no-aim needed.
  • Her damage is low but constant, in 4s close to her you die.
  • Her attack area is huge .
  • She has great mobility to always stay close to you or escape from Zarya ultimate, Road hook, Junk traps …
  • Not to mention that her ultimate heals and damages at the same time.
  • She kill easily most dps and sup, Genji, Mercy and Tracer just become healing for her team. Until the Widow is graced with her damage orb and twice passes through in a closed place she dies easily.

I don’t know if you are calling it lockon, but it isnt

If you are standing still. Also other heroes do much more damage, even from afar

She can fade, but she still stays in 1 place

If they are standing still doing nothing

I don’t understand nerfing or buffing heros in the name of skill

It’s much harder to track someone for 2~ seconds as symmetra to get a kill, as compared to instakilling someone as widow… but we don’t see widow nerfs or sym buffs based on kills

It takes basically no effort for doomfist to kill a zen. same for a McCree to flash+ FTH’ing any squishy… but we don’t see nerfs to either of them,

Similarly to… 76 ultimate, Reaper ultimate, Doomfist’s kit ETC… we don’t see changes to them based on this.

Ignoring healing…

It’s technically one of the lowest in the game

if moira is fading to get close to you, then she should be basically a free kill. Moira without her fade is easily dealt with.

???

Bap ult… Brig ult (Kinda)…

I mean its not hard to kill someone as Moira, but its also not hard TO kill moira. Literally just pressure her into her backline and she can’t bother you.

oh boy, here we go again.

Genji and Tracer players can burst her down, and if she went to kill the healers while their team are watching it’s on them + every healer has it’s way to deal with her.

And, if she kills your skilled dps maybe they should considered playing tanks, the world could always use more heroes.

if you think about it i honestly think snipers easily kill moira. Plus your supposed to be with your team so you shouldn’t die to her. But nerf her ability to get in like 2 seconds

If Moira kills you with only her alt fire beam and it takes a full 4 seconds, it sounds like you got outplayed by a Moira with good tracking.

Four seconds in Overwatch is an eternity. More than enough time for you to kill her with superior damage, disengage, or summon assistance.

This one is true but it is balanced by her having such low damage. If they were to change anything about her I could see them reducing the size of the hitbox for her beam but they would have to give her something to buff her in return because she does not need a nerf.

She doesn’t have great mobility. She has a single on cooldown mobility tool that once she uses it she is pretty vulnerable. Also, yes, she can use it to escape from things like freeze and zarya ult…but so can Orisa with halt and Reaper with wraith. It is healthy to have heroes who can deal with these abilities in the game. Also, with junkrat traps, doesn’t she still stay trapped in place even after fading?

Her damage being low but consistant means any hero with self sustain, or any hero who has a larger health pool, or any hero who is recieving healing from their teammates has plenty of time to either A. FInish her off or B. Get out of there if they can’t.

Her ult may heal and damage at the same time but again they are relatively low numbers especially for an ultimate. 70dps which can be easily healed through. I don’t remember the last time I actually died to her ult when I wasn’t already very low. Healing 140ps which is a much better use for it but isn’t going to keep you alive as well as let’s say, Zen’s ultimate which does 300hps. There is a trade off. She may do damage and healing with her ult but with lower numbers than if she just had one or the other. It is a trade off that keeps it balanced.

She is fine as she is. She has no utility just raw healing and damage numbers. The only change I can see them giving her is reducing the size of her hitbox with her damage beam and then giving her a buff to another part of her kit because I do think her beam being too forgiving holds her back in terms of giving her an actual buff to make her good. But, that said, she’s fine.

If I can kill a Moira with my sub par aim than so can everyone else.

Moira is less opressive than widowmaker so no ty

Btw you can counter Moira ult with Ana nade

if its hard for you to aim with moira if the player is just moving, you have a serious problem

Moira is broken only because of Fade. Played right, she is actually better at Reaper’s job than he is.

Moira’s attack has the same max. range as Reaper, but she has unlimited ammo and no falloff. Now consider that Fade gives 5x faster movement speed than Wraith Form, has 25% faster cooldown, and the invisibility means you have no idea where she went.

That kind of offensive and flanking capability should never exist in a Support hero, but it’s only made possible because Fade lets her retry it every 6 seconds. Remove Fade and her current design would be totally fine.

PS: While they’re at it, give Fade to Zenyatta, Mercy or Lucio. That would actually FIX them.

My god, they didn’t even say lock on and yet you immediately had to say something about it

You really, really don’t want to do that. If you think a character that does 50 DPS (100 DPS if going all in with a cooldown) is rough, then you don’t want to see what Zen could pull off. Even Mercy can pop out 100 DPS bodyshotting with her pistol.

Lucio doesn’t need buffing, he’s perfectly good as it is. If anything, I imagine the devs are playing around with nerfing his speed boost back down to the 25%ish as an indirect nerf to Rein.

In my defence (or defense whatever), they did say “almost no aim needed”

I didn’t know if they thought it was lock-on or not…so I just said it wasn’t lock on just in case

no nerf only rework.

edit: actually i cant post that, ill just type it inestead

ITS TIME TO STOP

I think the reason she feels OP is because she is a support that can hunt down low health enemies by literally holding down a button and walking after them - no precision aiming, or reloading. It feels bad on the receiving end.
