People have hated her because of how much she does and how easy she is to play since she was released. I literally started playing when she was released and I won a ton of matches when I first started playing because of how easy she is to play.
The sad part is that you arent trolling. Guess its easier to stomp your feet than admit youre bad

Most of the players are in metal. Dive has never been meta in metal ranks. Neither has Tracer. Why does Moira thrive in metal ranks? We all know why.

Then listen to me “Not a moira main” but dps/support main, the only problem about moira is that she has this 6s escape, so you can’t actually kill her unless she commits suicide into you as dps/other support. Other than that, I see no problems about her.
Lots of heroes have escape abilities including dps heroes. She isnt unique in this regard?

They did this on purpose because she has nothing in her kit to truly aid her team, so instead she got extra survival
(unless they added that something they kept going on about since OW1 while I was away in France lol,)

After some QP games yesterday I’m seriously concerned that moira gets that much hate when you literally can’t play half support roster (only feel craft) against all those venture/sombra, venture/genji, venture/tracer and so on when the venture player is half decent.
You get rolled as zen, ana, LW with pedal on CD, bap without immo, mercy to some point, brigg, ilkari.
The only thing that helped switch to kiri, Moira or Lucio.
Last one is out for me as I’m pretty bad on Lucio.
So I have to use Moira or kiri everytime I face a decent venture.
Now Moira has one of the longest , if not the longest, TTK and you are not satisfied?
Why?
If we wouldn’t have this dumpster fire called DPS heros like tracer/venture supp players would have more choices but especially in metal ranks venture feels seriously OP when you can’t escape her range faster then she can kill you and that’s not much time for heroes like zen.

They’ve designed that hero in this way. To excuse her 65 or 60 dps they could’ve added aim in her kit and even increase that damage number to 70. None of the heroes got damage buffs but moira for some reason gets this damage “compensation” for increased hp pools of 250.
Name one dps with consistent damage that has 6s escape cooldown?
I will soon as you name a dps with consistent damage that doesn’t hit 3 digits. As for escape abilities alot of dps have them, wraith form, dash, recall, coach gun just off the top of my head.

I’m specifically hateful of the DPS Moiras that repeatedly target and flank the backline, killing the supports and dps over and over and over and nobody is able to do anything about them. This happens a LOT.
Yeah, I could “git gud” and then she wouldn’t be a problem (except I can’t, I hit a skill ceiling and I cannot get better), but I’m mad that she is so incredibly easy to play and get kills with by doing that, and to kill her you need to be very good. It’s too lopsided. If she required more skill, if her beam hitbox was a lot smaller or something and she needed to be more accurate, I wouldn’t be mad about it.
It’s because it’s so easy to kill with her but difficult to kill her. People say all the time “just shoot her” and I try. I hit her sometimes, but I am not accurate enough to hit Moira in the head enough fast enough that she dies before I do, and you CANNOT run from her, she will just chase you, so your ONLY option is to fight her.
Compare that to characters like Genji that are difficult to play and get value from because they’re hard to kill. Genji is balanced around the fact that he is so difficult to kill, so most Genjis you see are people that are very good at him, and you don’t see Genji too often.
Moira isn’t balanced around that. She’s very evasive, hard to kill, heals herself by doing damage, can heal herself with her orb, and yet is insanely easy to play.
Yeah I’m overreacting in this thread, but she really does make this game a drag every time she comes out because I know exactly what’s going to happen and it’s not fun. I’m sick of it. She sucks the fun out of the game for me.
Now I’ll probably be reported like crazy in this thread and then disappear from the forums for an entire year (last time was about 5 months) because I was rude in here, but I needed to vent about Moira because I am so absurdly sick of this character.
