Moira is probably the most balanced character in the game, good lort
she is balanced lmao, youre just bad
Having a support with good ranged peel and a beam is necessary right now, but for support players who want some sense of engagement with game mechanics (i.e., the people you want on your team, because they are at least trying to work with kits that have strong utility and skill-expression) Brigitte and Moira feel like hot garbage to play, and play into.
Itās literally lose-lose.
Like, this is the best the devs can give us as far as self-peeling supports go? You might as well just let me press a button and turn my character over to AI control so I can have a beer because a Moira/Brig peel-bot would do the job just fine and it spares me the misery of having to play either of them.
Any moira that advances with fade is almost a guaranteed kill.
Just remove Aim assist and she will be fine. Before anyone complains that itās not aim assisted. Stop deluding yourself and look at her aim accuracy compared to all the other heroes.
Brigitte, since her release has been nerfed and reworked multiple times. I would say she is in a decent spot right now. Moira however always got a pass, I canāt recall any nerf to her since her release. If anything I only remember buff after buff.
Itās a beam. Stop lying. Itās a larger cone than Sym or Zarya. Why? Because it does the lowest damage of the three. I would love for her beam to be as tight as Zaryaās. Why, because theyād be force to increase her damage/tickrate than. Youād cry more. The only advantage she has. Is that, if you use any character that touches her body. Doom punch, or dash for example. Will always intersect the beam. Since itās generated at the center of the characters body. VS the weapon.
Moira really just needs a utility. The few ones I can think of. That work with her theme. If she fades through people. She gives burst healing or damage on target. Another, if she fades through an ally. It causes them to fade. Acting like Suzu/Bubble. This was the experiment the devās tried. But they made it a large AOE effect. Iād want it a single target. Or any physical attacks that touch her. She gives off flat damage. Like the damage Grav or hook does, on contact. Think those passive Pokemon moves that poison you on contact.
Personally, I donāt think anything should be tied to fade. Itās too essential to her survivability/positioning. Tying it to anything utility wise will take away from the fun of playing her, it really is her core āfunā thing.
If weāre going to add utility to Moira it should be through her orbs somehow, but we have to think outside the box. No cleanse, no āpoisonā, perhaps a slow⦠but any kind of offensive detriment is going to force Kiriko played even more, and I donāt think what we want is to continue to force metas
I can see that being true in bronze to silver, maybe even low gold, but by high gold - low diamond sheās not a ābigā problem. You can call me out of touch, but I climbed from silver to diamond in ow 1 on support, and Iāve gone from low gold to plat 2 in OW2 so far on support, playing between Moira and Ana. Iām also only gold (nearing plat) on DPS, and Moira hasnāt been a primary issue for me, but maybe thatās because I play her and I know how she works.
Anyway, believe what you want, thatās not rank bragging above, itās literally just expressing that Iām in the ranks in question, and sharing my experience. Itās true Iām predominantly climbing on Moira, but I also like to think that Iām aware people who arenāt climbing completely lack awareness and discipline, and thatās on them, not Moira.
Yep, itās on them. I can get her to work against better people. But you have to have A LOT high awareness with Moira. Including the maps. For example. Iāll use Kings Row. I have saved high ground people from being killed. Since I know how to use fade. To jump up to those areas, at the final point. Thatās a bonus skill you learn by playing on the maps. Circuit Royale map. When Iām retreating at the first point. I can use fade to get to the higher bridge. By touching a certain corner, to slide up it.
When to engage an enemy to save someone. Or when to bait out a move. To help out another teammates ult. Because like everyone says. Sheās very forgiving to āmistakesā. You can take advantage of that in other creative ways. Rather than do stupid junk. Like fade in, try to kill Ana and just die.
You know the whole doesnt need to aim thing has been disproven multiple times over the years right? Requires the exact same aim as any other beam hero.
0 dmg orb that would never get used, longer duration = longer cooldown. So you just want a net nerf across the boards to her with no compensation because you cant shoot straight.
But if you manage to kill Ana you already hindered the enemy team. Thats your dps job not Moiras, you shouldnt be encouraged and rewarded to do this as Moira the same Reddit Lucio usually doesnt end well.
Youāre also assuming. I got the kill on Ana. While I let someone die on my team. If you arenāt stupid and doing Moira memeās. Youād only do things like this. If your team is not in any healing dangers. Or you know you can get a finishing blow. Without a Orb available. And let a healing orb stay with your team. For those few seconds. This again, depends on the persons awareness on what to do. Not LEROY JENKINāS stuff.
Anyone should be encouraged and rewarded to kill anyone and make any win condition play. Thatās how OW is played. How itās done is relevant to the kit, but this is not an early mainline Final Fantasy game, there should not be arbitrary archetypes, there should be variety in all roles, just the same as Rein might be a frontline shield/brawler where as Ball is a mobile disrupter, or that widow is a backline sniper and Genji is a flanker. This works for supports as well.
People seem to think mindless plays are inherent to Moira, when the reality is theyāre just seeing what most of the rest of the OW community looks likeā¦
There are a lot of situations where I look like Iām doing āDPS Moiraā. While my tank is dying. In reality my health bar is at zero. And Iām alternating between suck and heal. To keep a teammate alive, as long as I can. Once they die. I than fade out and regroup. Because I canāt keep someone alive. If theyāre taking full on damage from billion of directions forever. Or theyāre not retreating with me.
yes she can easily do dmg.
but its even easier to deny that damage.
Either position better or team up with a support.
moira litteraly canāt kill anything that gets healed.
and if she does she took ages or got help (or used orb + coal)
i dislike her a lot, but just see it from the Bright side. someone is playing moira instead of getting better overall (Atleast thats how i see it and it fills me with joy, idc if thats true or not, it makes me smile and happy)
just imagine them on a hero thats capable of missing and reloading. ttk would skyrocket.
this takes away all Frustration imho
(you can tell me thats not correct but what do i care? a randoms opinion or my inner Peace?
)
People just donāt wanna get TikTok clipped by a Moira I guess
But she has too much of a free pass on everything, she flanks better than dps flankers and she also heals and survives more than any other support. When I play Moira I donāt feel Iām playing any 5D chess managing cooldowns and taking opportunities, I feel Iām having an easier time playing the same than everyone else because I have shorter CDs than most, Iām less reliant in aiming than most and I have better skills than most. Yes I canāt oneshot anyone or Nanoboosts my team but I canāt see the problem when Iām dancing around the map constantly leaving everyone that appears in my crosshairs at 50%hp just by holding down my trigger on their back and they usually canāt spot me because Moira is freaking fast.
I wouldnt have any problem with that if the other supports could do the same, really. Let me see Mercy and Brigitte flank the enemy team, getting their tank back at 100% HP in 1 second and dying as little as Moira and I would have no problem with Moira being as she is right now.
That depends on your rank. You arenāt doing that, when youāre facing people who can shoot you with no problem. Thatās where the challenge comes in.
You do know Bap can jump to high ground. Shoot you with better DPS than Moira. And Solo use his ult to increase that further. He can literary do the same thing as Moira. Just long range.
So just because not everyone can do it means that Moira should not be able to?
Iām not exactly sure I see the validity in that argument, tbh.
