Moira doesn't have auto aim or any type of lock on

yeah it’s not technically the same but it functions similarly which is why it’s pointless to hunt people down that say it’s a soft-lock as if her beam doesn’t act like one.

Bruh, she doesn’t have a lock at all. All I was saying was that no matter what it is, it doesn’t matter.

It’s not exactly hunting down if you’re the one who joined the conversation and started saying otherwise  . You, more or less, got yourself “hunted”.

Your logic is flawless.

I pray for his sake its a troll to be honest.

It has a large hitbox, but you’re right. It doesn’t lock on in any way shape or form

YES! finally, someone else who has addressed this! Moira’s beam is not a lock on ability at all, it is simply the animations that makes it LOOK like it locks onto enemies when in reality it does not, it works exactly the same as Zarya’s beam, only with a larger hitbox.

Eh, it has lock on, very soft lock on, go into practice range and aim about 1-2 meters away.

For those that don’t seem to comprehend design mechanics, try this:

Get 2 friends, make a custom match. You play Moira. Have. Your friends choose other heroes.

Use Moira to attack one. Neither you nor your target move. Have the other player come next to the target. You as the Moira player try to track your first target as both other players cross positions. Moira’s beam can and will get broken and can even switch targets unintentionally.

If it were a lock on, it wouldn’t break.

Have your target move out of your LoS but stay in range. Again, if it were a lock on, it wouldn’t break but it does.

Soft lock is actually a pre-aim mechanic used in some hybrid tab target systems with aim systems to set a target without choosing it to be attacked. This has zero to do with Moira.

It has a more generous hitbox?

It’s still easy to aim regardless of it’s lock-on or not. With a hitbox like that, it really doesn’t matter.

But yet, some will only believe what their eyes show them… -.-

People.

It’s not a lock on.
It Looks Like it locks on, but game mechanics wise… It doesn’t.

I have never even thought it did, ever since i got on and played Moira for the first time.

Tis a beam, that go.

It go forward, with fancy animations.

And yea… i’m sorry that you cannot reflect this beam while trying to 1v6 the whole enemy team, but… You have to realize that you can’t go around changing game mechanics to write off your death as “Dying to a no skill hero”

She still takes as much aim as other beams do.
Maybe not as much Precise Aim as zarya, but… Same mechanic.

But it functions the same, just with a larger hitbox

The lock on thing is the animation

A real lock, see mercy, will keep on even if you look away

This one instantly snaps off

It works like winstons gun too

This is the greatest comparison in the history of comparisons.

I try… lol

But yea, Same principles… Different Mechanic.

(Still salty about Bastion’s lack of headshots. <.<)

yeah its not a lock on its just the size of a house cmon guys

It’s neither a lock on, nor is it super incredibly large…

It’s like, Slightly larger/smaller? than Bastion’s Sentry spread, but i would bet money that the cone itself is entirely different.

Okay, just made this post. A few people here should have a look:

lmfao this has been proven to be completely false multiple times.

I thought this was clickbait until i read some of the comments who seem serious. You guys really believe it works like zarya’s beam?

Sorry to burst your bubble but having a generous weapon hitbox and “soft lock on” is what everyone is talking about. Now that Symmetra is changed, Moira’s beam is the easiest in the game to track targets with. Taking that into consideration, you may as well say that Moira has a lock-on if that player can track with any hero at all nomatter their skill level. But technically there is no lock-on so threads like this exist.
