…when she damages an enemy the radius does not change, like it does with lock on weapons. That’s what I’m implying (Well… that’s what I was outright saying, not implying, but you know)
I fully understand that the animation requires a view of the target’s centre. Otherwise the animation would not work properly.
Would you consider Soldier’s ult a lock on? Because it shares the same mechanic as Moira’s secondary. Mercy’s lock-on is a special, stronger version of it.
Please, for the love of god, play the character you’re complaining about before you make your argument. There is absolutely no aim-locking on Moira’s primary, that’s not what ‘attach angle’ means.
How about reading the whole thing plus the very detailed, well-written post by SidewaysGts before commenting? You didn’t even read the disclaimer. I’m not complaining about Moira.
Because I’m responding to you, not sidewaysgts. And idc if it’s a hate post or not, Moira doesn’t have a lockon. It’s a big and forgiving beam but it’s not like soldier’s ult.
Because if its a beam It means it would be blocked by anyone standing in bettween, if its a lock on it means It attaches and once attached It will keep damaging until the enemy gets out of the cone, which is way harder to dodge.
I already presented evidence of it not being a beam. I have not yet provided evidence that Soldier’s ult has the same mechanic, but I may do it later. There is evidence of it being a lock-on in SidewaysGts’s post, you should read it.
If you have arguments/evidences proving otherwise please show them.
Please quote it, none of that is evidence its a lockon to me. Yes Moira beam has a ‘tether point’ but it’s not something that locks the players aim, it only means Moira needs LOS of the enemy’s center for her beam to hit.
The game doesn’t track for you like soldier ult. The game doesn’t keep your beam attached like old sym or current mercy.
I dunno how many hitboxes were shown off in the video (29?), but a single anecdotal example a possible geometry interaction is supposed to prove it all wrong?
You could be onto something, but you gotta do better than that.
