You do understand that disconnections have to be discussed right?
because you would essentially be playing the game on a mobile device.
So its not “off topic” like you claim.
The op wants Mobile Overwatch, but the current game rules that we have. It wouldn’t be feasible. Despite I think it would be kinda cool to have a mobile Overwatch.
But knowing their track record at blizzard, they would shove everything under one “roof” instead of making a separate system.
Is this phone game like actual Overwatch or is this gonna be like the gatcha game of Overwatch where it’s turn based, and energy determines how much you can play, and you roll for heroes to use.
Because playing this game on a phone sounds awful for many reasons.
Being forced to play with mobile players while on a pc would be brutal. The amount of people in your games that can’t aim would increase exponentially.
I’ll just remind you of basic forum etiquette and that the OP was lavishing praise on some probably shoddy mobile app with the Overwatch name slapped onto it. OP didn’t mention leaver penalties. At all.
Equally same for you. You just assume you need to come in here to argue with people because you dont like something about the OPs post and that anyone that brings up the various facets to discuss the mobile app idea is your attempt at “poisoning the well” in order to derail the thread in the first place.
Thats “trolling”
Now, if you are here to discuss why that would “not” work such as the mobile app and why you do not agree with it. Im all ears. but just coming here to attack someone’s input and then trying to gaslight people and using strawman attacks to fully derail the thread. Thats real forum trolling right there on your part.
So that said. Lets “shake hands” and move on with this part of the discussion.
Why does this work, not work? to be brought to Overwatch?
People said that the screen will be too small but don’t forget that mobiles can be bought in all kinds of sizes and that even includes ipad which can be 8.3 inches if you get the ipad mini!
I think that’s one of the benefits of mobiles is really that you can buy so many different kinds of sizes and in that sense it’s kind of like a pc!
Also I’m wondering how it will work like will Microsoft have their own Store In the ios store?!
Because from what I understand there was some kind of legal battle between epic games and Apple as well as Google play store in order to get their own app stores on there because it was an illegal monopoly or something like that!
But yes there will be need to be special considerations made for the mobile version of the game And I would say that a lot of these can be solvable Not only by for example allowing for various kinds of control schemes which should include gyroscope but also making sure that controller schemes are supported properly if someone wants to connect a Bluetooth Controller to their phone or ipad!
Have YOU tried playing a phone shooter? Cod was awful. Apex was OKAY for what it was and actually had some nice qol changes, but as a shooter it kind of sucked.
If you’re a bottom 500 player that didn’t know up from down, sure you might enjoy a shooter on your phone, and that’s a sizeable market. But let’s not pretend numbers = quality. Mobile gaming dwarfs gaming on most platforms in general.
Plenty of people play Candy Crush. Plenty of people pay for “adult entertainment”, plenty of people gamble away money with no shot of winning. Plenty of people spend massive amounts of money on garbage of all kinds.
It’s subjective. You like mobile games, great. I rarely find one worth any time whatsoever. Both are correct for us, just as homie’s low opinion of them is valid for him.
And I couldnt disagree more. But you and hulk have a ball
