Hello ! So a little bit of back story first I suppose.
I started playing Overwatch right back around when it released and I, along with many of my friends loved the game to incredible extents. I was there for Season 1 and Season 2 (I think I played a little of Season 3?) and if my memory serves me right I stopped right around the First Lunar New Year’s Event. Naturally, I spent quite a bit of money on lootboxes since Overwatch was my favorite game at the time (and is still one of my favorites!!). According to my transaction history, I spent $330 roughly on loot boxes (It might be a little less since I rounded prices of 19.99 to 20.00 and so on, but you get the point) with my last purchase being from December 18th, 2016. After months of playing Overwatch nonstop, I was feeling a little frazzled so I took a break from it. I started to enjoy other games, mainly The Witcher 3 and got so wrapped up in that I never picked up Overwatch again for quite a while. Fast forward to this year, one of my best friends - a passionate McCree main - tried to get me into Overwatch again. While I was initially a little reluctant to come back after so long, I eventually caved in and picked it back up. I’m not sure how long we’ve been playing together exactly, but I think it’s been around a few months? . I began to really enjoy the game again and be excited to play it with my friends, but something was off. I started to notice that a lot of my cosmetic items that I was absolutely positive that I had unlocked had disappeared!! I didn’t initially report anything because I figured it wasn’t such a big deal if I was only going to play Overwatch every once in a while, right? I suppose I should’ve reported it the moment I realized it. Sorry about that. The more I played the more I began to miss certain skins I had unlocked or emotes or even highlight intros! It eventually began to really sadden me and somewhat annoy me, pushing me to make this post. The worst part about all of this is that I’m not sure how I’m supposed to prove what items I originally had either!! Obviously I can remember a few cosmetics items that I’m sure I had, but it was so long ago that it’d be almost impossible to recall all of them ! I really do not like being a bother or causing more work for a company I love so much, but the loss of items I payed good money for compels me to stand up for myself about it !
I would really appreciate if someone from Blizzard or The Dev Team or whoever handles something like this could help me out with this. I don’t know if you guys have some sort of item history deal thing, but any help with this would be greatly appreciated. I’ve also tried looking around on the forums for similar posts like this but I haven’t found anything too similar? A few missing item glitches over the pink mercy skin or something but nothing that seemed like my case? I’m not sure if this is something to do with how long I didn’t play Overwatch for but I just want to get my items back. I’m truly sorry for causing more work for the team.
