Wasn’t there supposed to be a 5v5 experiment called Kingmaker? Basically limit 2 but whoever was solo would get a huge buff?
I thought that was supposed to be this season but the season is almost over.

Since OWC leaves this week I figure Kingmaker’s going to pop up on Tuesday, for the last week of the season. No point diluting the side mode player pool and all that.

You’re probably right. I guess we’d still have 1 week left at that point. It feels like the season is ending next week with drives this weekend and classic going away.

They canceled it I think because of some of the 6v6 tests they want to change. Somewere they explained why kingmaker would not work currently and that they would need to do INDIVIDUAL buffs to heroes if they would be solo to make it work and had not the time for it.

I missed this announcement. That sucks because I was actually looking forward to it. Of all the experiments, it was the one I was personally most interested in.

Yeah same, but at the same time, its kind of like the 5v5 test we already had with some spice. But I think they mentioned that its not off the table, but rather just farther in the future.
No idea where they said this. All that information came from various threads here in the forum.

That’s just what they said if they actually wanted to implement it for real and not as a test (recent spilo 6v6 interview it gets mentioned). The test is still happening afaik. Tanks will have a global cc reduction, DPS I forget, supports will have more healing and shorter CDs I think they said, but that’s not good enough for a real implementation

No, they were talking about the two variants of 6v6 they were going to test. They were going to try a different one first(limit 3 i think?) but ultimately decided people wanted regular role queue more so they’re doing that first. But that’s for season 14, we’re still getting 5v5 kingmaker next week(supposedly).

Their is a leaked info about kingmaker on reddit but no date. My guess it either be on 3rd on 7th.
