Miss, miss *E* "pop pop pop" kill

I think Hanzo should have reverse-falloff damage. His damage should start low and then scale up to full after X distance. Fluff it as his bow having some kind of grav tech that increases speed/force as it flies like a rocket. Make it so that he’s strong at mid range, ok at long range if you can hit, and terrible up close.

If Hanzo becomes weak at close range then Lunge being really good doesn’t feel OP cause he needs it to escape and get far enough away to do damage.

Yeah, I’d take that as an alternative.

As it stands now, Hanzo has none of the weaknesses his sniper compatriots in other games have to deal with. And with this, it is kind of silly to assert that he takes a significant amount of skill at all, let alone the amount it’d take to justify this nonsense.

It would also make really high mobility characters a hard counter to him unless he can climb somewhere they can’t get.

He would have to run from Winston while jump is on CD.
Tracer would destroy him unless he takes high ground and then he’s probably safe.
etc

I’m not sure how much damage he would do at close range. I wouldn’t want it to be so low that he’s completely incapable of defending himself. You could even make it so that he can’t headshot until a certain distance, instead of reducing the damage.

it’s partially how it used to be pre-rework. Without lunge, he had to take the fight up close with whatever dived/flanked him. He could still score a lucky random one-shot, but with lesser projectile speed, without Lunge to easily increase distance, and most importantly without Storm Arrow, he had a signficantly harder time doing so.

Yeah, I’ve suggested that a while back. Make it start at 40 or 50 dmg up to 10m, then scale linearly 10-15m and keep the usual 70 dmg beyond that.

All this things you can do with his normal arrows as good.

I meant it as: “storm arrow was better than scatter” If the scatter returned. But never mind.

I’d beg to differ. For several reasons.

Agreed on that. Still, I believe that storm arrow can have a place. It’s problem is poor balance and implementation, it’s design is ok (with a few tweaks).

It’s not just storm arrow. I’ve seen so many times on kill cam Hanzos not even aiming at anything, just getting lucky with a one shot

I fired and then I missed. I passed out in the snow. Woke up with a Popsicle stick in my mouth.

Widow is hitscan …

They’re 150% smaller than pilot dva and mercy’s blaster shots…

The key words there being “at game launch”. Not right now.

I still think they’re massive and make no sense
Noone can change my mind
Sorry. Don’t mind me
He is still better widow anyway

Woosh? “Don’t @me” is a meme said ironically when expressing something you know is controversial. It’s not a literal request for people to not reply…

I get Hanzo’s E is a frustrating ability, especially when the Hanzo just spams it instead of actually trying to aim each individual shot but its not even that different from McCree’s primary fire at this point, especially after the McCree fire-rate buff.

I feel like people just hate Hanzo because he is a projectile hero, I oddly think he would receive less hate if he was hit-scan even though he would be even more OP.

I wish they just made scatter arrow act like a shrapnel grande that exploded in all directions instead of just 1

Seeing as how the only sniper in this game is Widow i’d say this fits.

Hanzo is not a sniper.

You crying bro? Sorry that you play low SR Hanzos that spam, I don’t have the need to spam with him, because I TOOK THE TIME TO LEARN HIM!

Stop crying about bad Hanzos making the game unfun to you.

Only two tanks were capable of being one shot at full health by Scatter, and they were Zarya and Orisa, everyone else survived… Did you even play during the Scatter days?

ok but why are you quoting me on something that i quoted someone else on

Mistake, but point stands that only two tanks could die to scatter at full health.

yet they just nerfed the speed of his arrows…how pathetic…
