The thing is Microsoft created 343 just to make Halo games and they have given them chance after chance even after they have shown the inability to make a good game. Microsoft is definitely at fault. 343 is a first party studio, they are literally part of Microsoft.
It’s not untrue though, except what is the alternative, apple.or.google.
I’m a Linux user myself but that community is twisted in ways people don’t know, never progress keep redoing that same.thing in 1000 different ways by 1000 different people.

Yeah, but also PlayStation was basically choking out the console industry for the last 2 decades, to the point they had 800% more exclusives.

Also for real, it is in comparison to Apple, Google, Amazon and Tencent, We can’t just act like that’s not where reality is at.

Yeah he’s been making so many Microsoft hate posts in the past and kissing the butt of Sony so much without realising they’re as bad as each other. It’s been hilarious to read lol (though also in a way pretty sad).
And as an owner of both a PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X with no affinity to either, it’s hard to see who the lesser evil is.
Microsoft has owned them for a few months now and Phil has visited the ABK teams to oversee their work. He definitely approved the upcoming season.

For a $70 billion acquisition, yes. Microsoft needs to maximize profitability for all of ABK’s titles if they are going to make money from it.

Is it so difficult to hypothesize that the decisions of an acquisition (in this case Blikzzard) first arrive in the personnel organization (the recent layoffs, especially in the reorganization of customer assistance) will then influence the marketing department and only finally the product specifically?
So far I think the only influence we’ve had from Microsoft is less investment in PVE in the near future, with the layoffs of half the art and narrative departments. I imagine that at some point someone from Microsoft asked “ok, what’s this 2 on the title?” and the response was quite mixed with the original vision.
