Micro stuttering/freezing

My game keeps having these small stutters , for example if I move my mouse across my mouse pad I can see the crosshair sometimes freeze for 0.5 sec then teleports this is in the practice range, it happens way more frequently in actual games and becomes a problem when playing aim based heros.
I am getting 150-200 FPS in game no drops

There are a lot of different reasons this could be happening, but I can offer some advice that might help.

  • Primary monitor is selected in settings, instead of “best match.”
  • FPS is capped at your monitor refresh rate, as this will prevent the erratic drops.
  • GPU is set to high performance in the nVidia Control Panel.
  • Windows is also set to high performance in power management.
  • GPU drivers are up-to-date or reinstalled.
  • All Windows updates installed. And if they are, check this post.

Finally, if you are still experiencing issues, it is possibly related to the route your PC takes when connecting to the Blizzard servers. And for that we could look at a WinMTR.

setting windows to high performance worked, thanks

  • for some reason my CPU wasn’t using its full potential/power when I had overwatch running if I was on Balanced power mode.

Try disabling windows game mode. If you have AVAST check to see if there is a game mode and if so disable it or disable avast. And what fixed this for me was turning off enhanced pointer precision:

  1. Click the “Start” button.
  2. Type in “Mouse” without the quotes.
  3. Click on “Mouse & Touchpad settings”
  4. Click “Additional Mouse Options”
  5. Click the " Pointer Options" tab.
  6. Un-check the option " Enhanced Pointer Precision ."
  7. Click “Ok” to save your changes.
