Mercy’s Resurrect could’ve been the Reverse McCree Deadeye

Why didn’t the dev team try to make Resurrect as an ultimate work differently similar to how McCree Deadeye works?

It should’ve been everything that McCree can do except the opposite.

So instead of Mercy being able to Resurrect allies 70M away and being slowed heavily. Mercy is able to lock onto allies who are in sight of her and are 20M away. Mercy isnt penalized with a movement speed slow so she is able to move freely through the battlefield! Mercy will not be put in an animation so she is able to heal/DMB her allies while also trying to get into the best positions using her GA to get the most lock on possible on her teammates.

The lock on will start on ALL allies with the initial Q press.

Lock on is proportional to how much health your allies have. Just like McCree so Resurrecting tanks is much riskier then Resurrecting Damage dealers or off supports.

In order for an ally to be able to be Resurrected they have to be fully locked on by Mercy.

Allies who are alive will receive a burst heal proportionate to how much lock on they’ve gone through. Just like McCree does with damaging enemies.

Mercy will have her health fully restored upon the second press of Q

For an E ability just use Valkyrie!

Change the distance of her GA and her Beam range buff to 1.5x instead of 2.0x
Get rid of the uninterrupted passive regen in replace of that nerf you revert the speed nerf

Edit: Keeping Mercy as a consistent single target healer would bring back the niche to her kit that was lost in the rework. So boosting the beams overall power for 5 seconds and honestly 1.5x its overall power would be much more interesting and interactive to use. With a cooldown time of 12 seconds.

We all are looking forward to a Mercy 3.0 but I think this is the way we need to see Resurrect reworked in order for it to be ever balanced.
