I think I hit the wrong thread, although I kinda prefer pbmm, I can see why they got rid of it. It can be abused, like everything else. W/L are more straightforward but it’s also kinda oofy…

Then again I do think I should be saying anything. I’m paper 5.

I’d played against Mercys like that tbh.
You’d see them like, peace out once a fight got tough because they were on track to hit the heal quota and needed to protect thier death stat now.

They always lost to me, just like the 5man Rez only Mercys I faced way way back. They could convince the system they were better players but in practice they weren’t and would eat L after L.

I’m glad PBSR is dead, if you knew or could diagnose the quota you could climb without improving, Mercy was just the easiest to game.

They’re talking about the time when Mercy still had mass rez and would hide in a corner, and then ask everyone to die on point to rez them.
It was what… 6-7 years ago? It’s so old news.

We do not need anybody to say that out loud. We already know the system is awful at calculating Mercys input throughout a match. Most of Mercys value is context dependant because shes a game sense character and the system sucks at analyzing that.

It was very noticable for me, as a K/D Warlord stat God. I used to climb so easy. Now I have back related problems and still lose.

But whatever. Easier games for me.

Mercy player pocketbots their hitscan smurf boyfriend and climbs in ranks - UGH so unfair!!
Mercy player does 20k+ healing, 10+ rezzes and falls in rank - LOL u suck u deserve ur rank

Yes! This is one of the reasons why they stopped performance stats contributing to rank. Stats don’t ever tell the whole story! There was also issues where DPS players would get boosted for having high damage numbers but they were just doing trash damage on the tanks and doing basically nothing.
