Usually when people develop opinions, one way or the other, they are not likely to change their mind because internet-people convinced them.
And potential healing kind of goes out the window for Moira even more when you consider Mercy has the easiest healing mechanics.
- Doesn’t need to keep her healing target in vision once she’s locked on.
- Can heal through barriers
- Doesn’t require a resource to continue her healing output
- Can both heal and play cat and mouse with flankers
Look, even in quad tank, Moira just can’t maintain the amount of healing she does without doing damage, and it’s too easy to deny her that damage, which is exactly why she falls off.
Yet somehow, Mercy still Outheals Moira on average in every single Elo individually.
Given they both have targets to heal.
How much healing would moira do vs mercy in a 10 min match?
Check for yourself. Overbuff and Master Overwatch both show healing output per game.
Moira would need to heal one target for 3, 7 seconds for every 10 seconds of mercy healing, for them to heal the same ammount…
she doesnt need a nerf, she needs a counter lik Tracer did.

I would say ana already works as a good counter.
You can talk about potentials all you want but the average game doesn’t always go smoothly. The facts are the facts and that data shows Mercy outheals Moira on average across all elos.

The facts shows that moira isn’t used as a healer.
Look at their average damage.
You don’t need damage as a healer unless it’s your means to survive against flankers. Mercy has an escape on 1.5 seconds. She doesn’t need damage like Moira. Your point is moot.
No i’m pretty sure master and GM still use her as a healer on first point and 2 cp quad tank attacks, which is the only reason she gets play. In the most optimal situation for her to max out her healing potential, because she’s a heal bot.

If moira was played as a healer she would have an average healing that was at worst 1,7 times more than her average damage.
Again. At worst.
Given a proper team comp, she would heal more than 8 times as much as the damage she does.

Resource meter full? Don’t attack.
Team full? Don’t heal.
Given this. Moira heals more than mercy.
Every time.
Resource meter full? You attack? You are using her for damage.
Look you can keep this up all day.
By all accounts Ana should heal more than mercy too, but potential doesn’t mean anything.

As a Mercy main I usually hate these posts, but…
Just out of a game where I played Lucio. Saved a ton of people, got gold healing, we won.
My team’s Mercy ended up getting a ton of praise in the chat, I got nothing.

How many can mercy heal at a time? 1.
Moira? 5.
How about range? 15 meters vs across the map.
Healing for 1 sec? 60 vs 700.
I can’t and i hate you for it. STOP BEING LOGICAL
Yet, on average, mercy still out heals moira, across all elo’s. even in master and gm where teams build around her full potential. I don’t get what you’re not understanding here.
