Mercy needs more nerfs, change my mind

mercy needs more nerfs, change my mind, she is the only viable healer above diamond (zen doesnt count he is a dps who can heal a ton with his ult)

Mercy doesnā€™t need nerfs.

She needs a rework. She is overpowered because she has no weakness or outline. Jack of all trades and Master of all of them.

Moira.
She does more healing, more damage, and is easier to survive with.

Nerfs? No, probably not. What she needs is for Blizzard to take some suggestions from the community and put that towards a possible ā€œbalancedā€ version of her. Otherwise, sheā€™ll never be in a good place.

Also, you have the likes of Moira and Brigitte. Brigitte I hear is super strong right now and Moira unless they nerfed was always viable due to her high damage.

Nerfs? No. Minor rework to tie rez back into ult somehow so the skill isnā€™t horribly broken? Yeah, she needs that. That was suppose to be one of Mercyā€™s weaknesses was that she was the best healer and had some of the best survivability, but had little utility or damage compared to other support options. Obviously, thatā€™s not the case anymore. Mercy now has some of the best utility in the game on top of the best healing and great survivability. It shows because the other supports canā€™t keep up with that without also being OP.

I think Iā€™d like them to halve Valkyrieā€™s duration and give Mercy rez only during valkyrie. We could play with the ult charge rate, number of Rez charges, and other Rez properties in testing to see whatā€™s the best combination. Then give her the chain heal for an ā€˜Eā€™ on a long cooldown.

Saying that ā€œsheā€™s the only viable healer above diamondā€ really isnā€™t an argument.

yea its a valid point because it means when skill is much less of a limiting factor than in lower ranks, a no skill hero is still the best healer.

She doesnā€™t need nerfs. Almost everything about her is well-tuned.
She just needs rez to be completely removed and replace with something else. I mean it needs to not exist in CD or in ult form.

Itā€™ll never happen because the community will never embrace it, but the reality is that it is the root of every problem when it comes to direct comparison of support heroes. Itā€™s what makes her the best pick in almost any scenario.

What if for resurrect, Mercy had to put a halo onto a teammate? If that teammate died within that time while the halo was still on their head, they would be automatically (or enable) resurrected. Think Khepri from Smiteā€¦?

Though this may cause the issue where healers would just let that person die sorta thing.

I mean thereā€™s also Zen, but we all like Zen.

I agree that it shouldnā€™t be and never should have been on a cooldown, but I donā€™t see anything wrong with it being her ultimate. Mass resurrect without the invulnerability never had anyone crying and was balanced.

Fair enough I guess.

Daily reminder that nerfing Mercy wonā€™t make Ana stop sucking.

Nerfing her wonā€™t make the others viable.
Instead of nerfing the good one, buff the others.

Just make Mercy into the TF2 medic at this point.

I just hated being expected to play hide and seek with her during that time. Even playing in GM-level games, I was yelled at often for trying to heal during team fights instead of hiding. I donā€™t think anything that encourages avoiding fights is a good mechanic.

Thatā€™s what I donā€™t understand.
There are so many people who scream at the Mercy for playing hide and seek, but they say nothing to the teammates who encouraged it

No lol Moira is nothing in comparison to what a Mercy is capable of doing

Iā€™m not talking about when hide and rez was a problem, Iā€™m specifically talking about without invuln and she had to be by her teammates to protect her. But I by no means think that there should be a straight revert, imo they should bring back mass rez with tweaks to try and fix itā€™s past problems.
