Mercy needs more healing,

Mass Rez could negate multiple DPS ultimates and bring back multiple people, but was apparently totally not OK.

Most DPS can currently negate multiple support ults and kill multiple people, but this is apparently totally OK.

But totally not biased, right?

And yet, Mercy was still able to keep two dive tanks up while also making room for a resource-heavy DPS that needs pocketing (Widow) all by her lonesome

There is no way to spin solo healing Mercy in the playoffs that doesn’t make her seem busted, sorry.

That’s literally what you’re saying though.

Specifically Moira and Winston. Their healing isn’t meant to break through healing alone.

This quite frankly just makes no sense. Healing is supposed to negate damage, and again, most DPS can break through it, especially when there’s more than one source.

It was totally not okay.

Mercy players thought it was totally okay. They still think it’s totally okay.

Totally not biased.

Please, quote where I literally said

Except Mercy was barely ever solo healing outside of Junkertown in the first place. Most teams had a zen for most maps.

Healing adds sustain. It does not negate damage.

Pressing M1 on someone shouldn’t make them impervious to everything outside of a oneshot or dedicated focus fire.

Lmao no. That just turns McCree into a one-shot machine. No thanks.

I do not believe a single healer should have the power to negate 100% of any characters DPS with only their primary healing.

And the 2CP maps, which the comment you replied to pointed out.

Mercy also solo healed Eich defense, usually with a Pharah.

Ah, But see, I didn’t literally say

Mercy solo heal was used outside of Junkertown. Solo heal being as common as it was at a pro level was quite significant, and you couldn’t swap Mercy out with any other healer and achieve similar results.

Then acknowledge the rest of the post. Here, I’ll help you by putting in the part you ignored.

Hey, people keep complaining that McCree needs a buff!

No. They’ve put in on the PTR twice before, there is a reason it never hit Live.

And it didn’t. Again, most DPS can do more than 60 DPS. And it should take 2 people to reliably beat 2 enemies.

That is essentially what you said, actually.

Are we just ignoring that Defense used to be a category? The designers of the game intended for Attackers to use Offense heroes and defenders to use Defense heroes, but it never worked because hero balance was not great. The game has largely been mirror matches at the competitive level through most of it’s history. Rolling everything into the Damage category was Blizzard admitting the Defense concept was a failure and moving forward with a new design goal.

Heaven forbid damage boost ever have an impact on TTK, huh? Damage boost is most likely the reason why Ana never got her full 80 damage back, too. With 30% damage boost, 80 damage base was enough to two-shot 200hp heroes. With only 70 damage, it still takes three shots with or without damage boost.
