Still my point is that people who wont even experiment with possible number changes are not going to spend time making a new ability for her and binding it on some random Key. It’s not that I don’t want it, I’m just saying it is VERY unrealistic to even hope for.

Every character has 2 abilities and an ultimate.

Except for Rein, Sombra, Wrecking Ball, Orisa, Doomfist, Hanzo, Brigitte, D.va, Lucio, Torb, Sigma, Soldier, Echo and arguably Moira who all have 3 abilities and an ultimate.

You know what makes it a bigger slap in the face. They changed damage boost and lowered it’s skill ceiling after Baptiste was released. So yeah, the only change they made was a bad one and made her worse to play. Now I feel bad for myself and Ryan.

Probably not any more than other momentum tech that involves some spacebar timing. If Doom could use crouch+spacebar to change the trajectory of his punch momentum I’m sure we’d be all over it too.

They wont put an R ability on Mercy because R abilities do not exist in this game.

Geoff and Jeff have both said they tested an R ability on Reinheart and they gave Hanzo one during internal testing while making the Hanzo rework, two heroes with no reloads. It’s a realistic possibility that Mercy could get one too.

Just buff her hps, do it on experimental, you find her opressive and remove it. TEST IT, you have a PTR and an experimental card, just test the damn thing

@on topic: I’m mighty impressed with the thought behind the idea Ryan. You took a common suggestion and turned it into a triple play idea. Not only would this “oomph” her healing in general, it would give her more stuff to manage, allow Synergy with Valk to great effect, and promote some more damage boost use while we’re at it. I genuinely cannot see a downside to this buff outside of the devs just not wanting Mercy to play beyond an entry level hero(which is quite selfish for all the competitive Mercy players who want to, you know…compete).

No wait, that is a trap I am not going to fall for.

I will take any buff to Mercy that doesn’t reinforce the pocket slave gameplay. I think it’s just too much to ask for, that very post just confirms that they aren’t making any big changes to her. It’s been over a year and all we got was a lowered skill ceiling on damage boost.

An unfortunate reality. I just hope they at least test something on experimental. Even 55 HPS would feel like…something.

Call me crazy but the fact that they banned Mercy this week may mean something? Because last week they banned everything to see how Pharah and Ashe perform, they just buffed them, and now they’re seeing how they perform without Mercy? Maybe this implies they are looking at changing Mercy to make her not such a big enabler of these heroes? Not sure tbh, probably just grasping at straws.

Listen to me crazy. I wanted to believe they were doing something too but this all seems like a prelude to a Pharah rework in my view. Week 1 they leave her uncontested, week 2 they take away her best support pairing and give her a buffed Ashe to deal with. I think they are preparing for Pharah Echo interactions. Don’t give up the fight but don’t set yourself up for disappointment either.

Did yall notice that Mercy now boosts Torb turret and BOB now when buffing Torb or Ashe?
they’re trying out different ways to impact damage boost on the low.
