That’s the idea, but since it’s a single Rez that requires precision and timing instead of just flying in at opportune moments and instantly reviving a bunch of people, it should be on a meter that rewards better skill without displacing the ultimate

Nope, it’s 200 then other 200 in a different moment of the fight with different variables.

It’s 400 hp to burn down.What freaking variables.Also it stays 6v6 except that your effort from before has been for nothing.

Ideally I would prefer Rez tied to her ult again, even if it were instant. However, with how often you can rez now despite the cast time, I’m pretty sure this would be a net nerf overall for Mercy.

I actually think that’s extremely unlikely for them to do.

What they wanted with Valkyrie was for it to be an ult she could use at any point - at the start of a fight, mid fight, or reactionary. But what they ultimately found, through their several rounds of nerfs, was that as long as there was ANY benefit to using Rez during Valkyrie, people would save Valkyrie for moments where they wanted to rez someone.

That goes against the goal of their Mercy rework. If they were to do that, they might as well give her mass rez back as an ult and incorporate some minor part if Valkyrie into an E ability (like temporary chain heals or a burst of independent flight).

you can always do more man…

  • longer cooldown
  • longer cast time
  • res hp change
  • buff others

etc etc…its what theyre doing…you want to argue theyre changing the wrong things fine…but you dont HAVE to revert to fix her

It is, but isn’t being used at the same time, so isn’t 6x7 (not even mentioning the fact that you don’t have 7 people to hit, shooting, etc). Variables goes as time, amount of Hp everyone has, ult charges and etc. Your effort gave you ult charge and made the enemy use a precious resource (Rez).

Longer cooldown is placebo;
Longer cast time won’t change people complaining because they can’t hit a staying still target;
I don’t got the Hp thing, but I think is just another placebo;
Buffing other healers would be really cool, but, after the Ana ““buff””, Blizzard has been show that they simply don’t care.
You can rework her to make her work, what I’m arguing is the fact that the whole Valkirye thing doesn’t work and she worked better in the past, wich could been even better if they just add some other factor to her kit (LoS check, cast time to mass Rez and etc).

Yeah I could imagine a 2 seconds cast time on mass rez with her being vulnerable and unable to move.Sounds like a great idea.

I’m assuming you’re talking soldier and widow and not user tools…I mean they’re not even close to being on level with mass res…

Actually Soldier and Hanzo, but yes Widow too. Hanzo’s wall-hacks barely even has any warning. Many would say neither of those belong in a fps.

Well, I think it should be pretty obvious that a Single Rez with some cast time and 5m range,
is more counterable than a Mass Rez with no cast time and 15m range

But that doesn’t make any sense? If the goal was to give her an active E ability something that E Resurrect does and lock it behind her ultimate means she won’t have an E ability again which was the whole goal of the rework.

They need to realize Mercy will always be a Rez bot. Lock that behind her ultimate and move Valk to E and make it less oppressive to play against. Done balanced

My comments was more in response to rez belonging or not belonging in a game like Overwatch, pointing out that there are other elements present that are actually only used for cheating in many fps-games.

I made no comment as to the particular version of it, merely the concept.

She feels off without her pocketing one hero like a Pharah

tbh I wouldn’t mind if they made Rez Valk-only. Lower the cast time to 1 second. Make the break off range 10m total, but make the initial range just 5m so she has to be on top of her ally’s grave.

BUT!

Have “Rez” outside of Valk just be a totally different but kinda weak ability she can sprinkle through her normal usage. Like… Caduceus Increase. Upgrades the power of her currently held Caduceus Equipment. Lasts 3 seconds and has a 8 second cooldown. Her staff/pistol lightly glows during the duration. Swapping the staff/blaster turns off the effects prematurely.

Blaster: projectiles are 20% bigger and deal +2 more dmg.

Staff: heals 10hps extra (or just 10hps if she’s dmg boosting).

Can’t be used during Valk. After Valk is over, Caduceus Increase will be ready to use.

mercy is and still will be a must pick after the next patch simply because of rez and damage boost as basic abilities.
