What measuring stick are you using to insist mercy is balanced?
I mean this- seriously? What are you holding her against to insist she’s balanced?
let’s for hypothetical reasons just say mercy didn’t exist at all

Would the remaining supports be ao unviable that we would see no-support comps?
I can see it now- quad DPS with dual tank defense! Forget Ana. Forget lucio. Ditch the moira. The whole support class as a whole would be so underpowered that no one would even bother using them!

That’s because it is.
People would still run supports- and they’d still be very impactful.
We’re saying mercy is balanced using mercy as the measuring stick.
Saying we need to buff supports to mercys level is the epitome of power creep.
When you have a single high spot, you sand down the high spot. You don’t try and use various amounts of filler to bring everything up to the high spot.
If mercy was dialed down to the OTHER supports levels, the game would be fine.
