never seen a comment about the mercy players gender, only displeasure about the hero and how she plays.
maybe that her players lack skill to play other heroes but never about the players gender.
to me a male and female mercy player are the same, they are mercy players. i see no difference, i dislike them all if they ever talk about not enough kills with their amazing 0 kills.
because imho playing her is basically asking to get Handicaped and relying completely on your team. (Personal opinion, not a fact)
wierd how people add gender to the mix as if that matters.
i understand it matters when selecting a Partner but a player in a video game? all that matters is their ability to perform ingame.

Why “Mercy Gamer Girl” and not “Magna Carta Multiple Documents” or “Lettuce Same Taxonomical Family As Daisies?” What makes one grammatically incomplete string of words so useful for upsetting other people while the others are not?
from experience it’s best not to engage in toxicity. just report and move on. u r wasting time and energy talking back. report specify times and location/point in map when they said it.
if you communicate with them yes, which I usually don’t do. I am open to voice but not using it myself, thats what i have ping function for.
I would include to your statement mic quality and respect for others ears. (no sharp sounds, no breathing into the mic, no burps, no tv in background, no dog barking 24/7, no crying kid etc.) I wouldn’t wanna be in vc and only give people one chance. I hear something annoying i mute them at the first strike.
but got pleasantly suprised sometimes, like a kiri calling out every dps moira flank attempt or when my buddy calls out his target when playing ball.
in those cases 100% agree the type of human matters too. If they can’t act decent with strangers.
I wonder how many would still play Mercy if they slap some wrinkles on her face.

Her Valkyrie suit has injectors for her “healing juice”, so it’s nanotech. She basically doesn’t age.
Would be funny, if Moira’s vampire beam caused accelerated aging of a target, until they die.

I think most would still play her, mercy is too important part of the game for people to give up, that said would definitely be funny to see the reaction of mercy mains if her mythic skin is 3 versions of grandma mercy and healing staff is replaced with walking stick ok I’m running away

Thats just true we all know ever mercy main is a Swedish women whos also a doctor while all anas are sniper grandmas and every rein is a german military man while every lucio is a cool scater wall riding Brazilian
In my team me and our other support main are straight men while are tank is a gay guy and our 2 dps are straight females i dont see anyone picking a role based on race gender or partner preference

It’s always been a general perception that Mercy players are female. I’ve been a male Mercy main since OW1 S1, and it’s commented on a lot.
There are exceptions to every rule, you know

No, I’ve just noticed a very distinct pattern over a long period of time. You fitting outside of it doesn’t really change the disproportionate amount of people that don’t

You Just block/avoid/report and move on if they keep harassing you OP you keep on reporting and be sure to put in a description in the report screen. It’s amazing how doing just that alone you get a thank you for reporting message later on.
