I feel the same. It’s been a very long road for those of us advocating for a healing buff ever since they nerfed her.
It looks like we may finally get what we’ve been pining for, and it will be such a huge let down if we don’t get it now.

Not according to the pros. She has yet to show up in any meaningful way since patch 1.27.
Mobility and consistency will not be stars of anything until the mobile consistent healer offers enough value to be worth the pick.
This game has been deathball after deathball since patch 1.27 that nerfed Mercy and buff Moira, Lucio and Ana. It’s not a coincidence. If the deathball healers offer more value, deathball comps will be the best indubitably.
Now we have Brig, which is as consistent as Mercy and heals just as much with the added sustain of over armor and 2 CCs, she all but took Mercy’s spot in the last breath of comp anyone could remotely claim Mercy worked with - and even the that was shady at best.
She needs buff and/or other supports needs nerfs. Whatever stick we chose to base balance around is fine with me.
Absolutely no, she is not. Mercy used to be a great main healer juggler that cared for the whole team, she couldn’t never burst heal worth damn but she was able to keep up, react to damage boost a shot, play with squishy comps, enable dive tanks better than anyone else.
Once she was overnerfed, damage boost became pocketing favored, 3-4 DPS comps went away, healing consistency and HP/s were creeped - as well as CC which deter mobile comps - Mercy became a hard pocket bot, a despicable shell of a hero more akin to Pharah’s Bob than anything else.
You are welcome to list the games where these comps where played. I’ll take any answer in owl or contenders in which Mercy was used as a main healer and without hard pocketing Pharah or Ashe, with of course the caveat that non-2-2-2 comps can’t exist anymore.

Problem being, we don’t want a buff, we want her to be fun again. That’s the part the devs don’t understand.
Even if she DOES get a buff, devs might just buff something that doesnt need to be buffed like Res, if they buff Res she going to be back to S tier again. Mercy main btw.
Mercy would become more viable, when they nerf the OP healers.
That’s what would happen. Since she has REZ.
What are on? Her playstyle has not changed.
Unless you are referring to having the super OP mass rez = fun.
Then of course, people always say they have fun when they feel they are doing well with an OP character. lol
Interesting fact; In OWL/ Contenders this month Winston/ D.va ARE the meta tanks and the supports that go with them are Zen/ Brig

Mass rez was never OP. It was not removed because it was to strong. Dont make statements like that. They are not true. And tbh Valk is one of the lamest ults in the game…

It would toally nullify combo Ults necessary to take a point, especially the last one.
It effectively turned it into 6 vs 11 defenders.
And they did say it was to strong.
It had to go. Period.
It was not. It was not good for the gameplay experience for the Mercy. That you make stements like this meants that you never played with mass rez. It was mostly a 2 to 3 people rez most of the time and a 5 man rez was pretty rare because only if all people died in the same spot, in the same time and if the mercy was still alive that could happen.
They never said that mass rez was to strong. Stop with the lies. She was even back considered mediocre to bad. Yes you hear me right. She was not good but fun because you had that shining moment once in a while. Why are you hating Mercy so much?
Even in moth meta with mercy everything was playable. So that time was also not that bad. It only had relly long teamfights.
