Well since none of them an actuall characters yet and we have 0 information about them still D.va lol.
See if it’s just the futuristic mech thing just doesn’t appeal to you that’s a opinion I can respect. It’s much better than being like oh they are all just D.va clones when they aren’t.
I just want that cute as hell mechanic.

We have some info. The short and busan map give use pretty good ideas of thier playstyle, roles and possible abilities. There’s cool things like overlord controls 4 drones and is 100% flier
We have some lore.
We know names, thier mechs names small back stories like casino was once f1 racer and has possible ties to a wealthy European family, Yuna and hana are from the same team. Which is why They both start with D.
I would like to see more on them though and thier role in everything come together more which I hope comes soon, but I would say thier mechs is most of the focus right now. 100% agree. Her mech is my favorite thing in overwatch and she’s a really interesting character choice for it.
Not sure how useful he’d be, but I also feel kinda bad for him since he got friendzoned so badly.

Honestly i hope they stay in the lore. One mech is more that enough.
If they want him to be a hero they can. I was in a tread last week talking about it.
My idea was do a big content drop just because the game has been out for so long to really pull some outside interest in and make the game feel more new.
So they could drop a 2-2-2 comp.

Support overlord/Dae
It would be perfect and fun possible team comp for people to run if they want like you are power rangers lol
Anyways dae could have hover boots. And his primary healing comes from a cable gun that attaches to a target and pulls you around wherever your teammates go. he could also possibly carry stationary medkits kinda like soldiers throwing them out to teammates to stand in. Vertical jump for the escape option from a jet pack. It could be neat

I just don’t feel like that’s a good way to look at it. It’s like saying 1 cyborg, omnic, animal or human is enough. It doesn’t look at what they have to offer as a playstyle or how it could benefit the game. It also really limits what we are allowed to have. Imagine if they were like oh one of those other things are enough? We have only like 5 characters in the game. It should be about can they offer us a fun unique playstyle that we don’t already have in game. In which they would or the Devs would have never considered asking us if we want them .
And yet i defently dont want to see a whole team of mekas flying in your face and even if you manage to destroy them all of them just eject and finish whoever left from your team as pilots lol. And if D.va would be the only one who can fight as pilot this forums wont shut up asking blizz to make same ability for them.
Those are reasonable concerns. I really think eject would be just a d.va thing. I don’t think they would want to deal it the complexity of it it again also it would look really awkward from the other mechs. Also it would be stepping to much on D.vas toes.
1 would fly the theres would be very limited. King can be just a booster jump, d.mon probably would do only horizontal dashes. And casinos could go whatever way but it would most likely be limited.
Ik you are probably done with argument but thank you for telling me why it bothered you so I can reccommend possible ideas in other threads that can address and voice that issue. To hopefully let the devs see that’s something people wouldn’t want in thier design. I’m dead set on wanting them but I’m more than happy to find ideas that don’t make them feel like cancer.

well im not that easily tired lol. And the most main reason why i dont want any of them in the game is much simplier, just don`t want D.va to be completly replaced :I

It’s an overabundance of futuristic mechs. I wouldn’t complain much if one of them, maaaaybe two was to be added to the game, but if they add the whole squad the game would just feel oversaturated with mech heroes. Then you also end up with the problem of having 5 heroes with extremely similar backstories. The big problem with adding even 1 would be people crying out “Well you added 1, why not add the rest?”.
They’d be taking up 4 extra slots with heroes that have very similar backstories, and those 4 slots could be used for a wider variety of heroes. That’s my problem with it. Also, they seem more like power rangers than Overwatch heroes, though I realize that Overwatch is already in weird territory with a talking Gorilla, a superintelligent hamster and a Buddhist robot.
TL;DR: Having too much of the same style of hero, they’d be taking up slots that could be used for more interesting and varied heroes.
Lol honestly I think they would make D.va shine more. Chu straight up said D.va is the most popular in the lore. I LOVE D.va no ones replacing her. I got a d.va phone case, mouse, autographed pop by Charlet Chung, and the nendroid toys.
The other pilots allow D.vas story come more to life for us. We get to see what it was like for her with her squad. It changes her from the girl way off by herself to being more of a central important figure in the overwatch universe. It makes her faction way more relevant.

And honestly if someone needs to come in the game from there is Day-hyon as support lol.
That’s something that bugs me too. That’s why I don’t if I posted it in this thread or not That personally I like d.mon but the good thing to do if they were to add them is to do them all at once as a big content drop unlike the normal 1 in four months. Even if its a year or two out. I would be ok if they had to sit in ptr longer to get them right. It would definitely be annoying if you didn’t care for meka and they were dropped back to back. 1 every 4 months or so.
We haven’t had any huge content drops since the game cameout. This could be a good one to do it with.
