Mei's ult shouldn't disappear

I was sure they did. I guess not. But seeing as it hasn’t been fixed after all the complaining when it was first discovered, it seems intended.

Please, they didn’t comment on Doomfist’s bugs for like 6 months when he came out

This definitely needs to be looked at.

I don’t understand how transformation ultimates like Dragonblade, Tactical Vidor, Configuration: Tank and Valkyrie aren’t cancelled if they are stunned in the cast animation, but projectile ultimates like Blizzard, Pulse Bomb and Nanoboost are. The purpose of the ultimate change was to made it more consistent, but it just became more inconsistent.

It was more “consistent” as blizzard got to do as little work as possible with a blanket change I suppose. They love cutting corners

I really wish her and Tracer’s ults didn’t just disappear.

Examples of disappearing ultimates:

Tracer:

Mei:

This just feel unfair.

This is intended because your cast time for the ability was not completed even though it may have seemed it was but the ultimate will be lost because once you press Q the ultimate meter is set to 0.

How is the cast time not completed if the projectile is midair?

That is just the animation but even if 0.1 seconds of cast time remains then the ability will not be activated.

Similar to Tracer’s pulse bomb, you may have thrown it at the enemy but die while it is midair causing it to disappear because the cast-time was not completed.

If that’s truly the case, then reduce the cast time to slightly less than the animation, to account for lag.

to be honest, the universal ult change is still obnoxious. I’m not sure that it was entirely called for.

That would be a good idea but I doubt Blizz would actually care enough to put this in the live servers

its counterplay

i do agree, meis ult shouldnt disappear if she is killed, but the game has a rule that if someone is killed during their ult cast time (sombra, mei, orissa, hanzo, rein, mcrree, etc.) then their ult counts as ‘used’ even though it didnt do anything, i find it really annoying, but also it feels really good to cancle an enemy ult and save the day.

Lag shouldn’t be a beneficial factor in countering an Ultimate.

My post is about when you die! Not stun!

I this case, they are exactly the same.

Feels unfair but how fair is it that you get a powerful ultimate that has an instant cast? There was a McCree there that is a stun hero and almost anyone should presume that the McCree was gonna flash you regardless. The real life scenario of throwing an object and being interrupted don’t apply to this. If real physics were a thing in this game, Doomfist wouldn’t be able to do half his crap, so wouldn’t Hog, D.Va, Rein, or Brigitte. How is Junkrat immune to his own explosives but not to Pharah, other Junks, pulse bomb, or D.Va bomb? Balance is the explanation.

If you were honestly allowed to pop those ults off even the moment before death, you could still cause major damage to the team. The Tracer was a good bomb but the Ana sleep was even better. The Mei ult was more of a predictable situation and kindof a panic ult.
