Mei Changes show a fundamental problem with OW2 balance

These changes essentially force her back into a Tank Punisher role, which is a huge regression because this is the same exact role she had in OW 1 where she was consistently one of the worst dps in game. Now that she doesn’t even have freeze, I don’t see how this is beneficial outside of punishing Ball / Junker Queen.

Mei was better in OW1 than she ever has been in OW2 lol. They have destroyed every part of her kit in some way or the other over time and are now nerfing the damage of her kit to give her a pseudo OW1 kit again…

Exactly my point. They took a huge step backwards with the direction of this character, and she’s significantly worse than both versions because the devs don’t want to fully commit.

Definitely not planning on buying the pass this season. Playing as Mei is a headache since getting on today, and dealing with Cassidy’s magnetic grenade is just as annoying. Any character I like playing I swear just keeps getting worse, and I feel like they focus a lot on specific characters and the result is them coming out either over powered or complete crap with the others neglected. Why buy anything more from this game when it seem like they’re just taking shots in the dark at this point just to keep the facade up of it being a “new” game.
