so your solution to Mcree is to flank, with a sniper, you do realize how ridiculous that is right, and it further proves my point when you have to use an impractical method like that in order to take him down that means that you have to pick a character that can both flank and shoot from long range and kill him before he can react, out of the entire roster only Hanzo can do that meaning that there’s literally only one character thay can get away with that strategy to counter Mcree

Secondly, WoW PVP has dispels and trinkets, and all manner of things to help keep CC in check.
The point still stands. CC and burst are not a wise combination for game design.
It’s why Blue in Magic the Gathering can’t kill you as fast as Red.
He only became good after the last batch of Sigma nerfs. No barriers = a mighty consistent Mcree. Hitscans were never meant to exist without strong barriers.
He’s also gotten minor nerfs + multiple buffs after the Sigma nerfs. So he’s also in a better state as well as Sigma not being as powerful (which Sigma was also a balance problem)

Not impractical at all, Hanzo’s entire kit revolves around him setting up AROUND the enemy, to avoid shields and other obstacles, which is FLANKING!
Have you ever played Hanzo before he was reworked to what he is now? You had to literally reposition constantly with him, and you still do now if you want to defeat the current meta.

uhm nooo that’s not how you play him, the only move that makes him even remotely close to a flanker is his leep which is actually pretty loud if you’re listening.
Hanzo is a Tankbusting sniper (if you ask anyone here they’ll agree and that’s it’s the main reason why he considered op, which i agree with and that he should be nerfed despite still loving him and considering him my new main) and as such his job is to either stand behind with his tanks shredding the enemy tanks, or using his mobility to shoot the squishies behind the thanks at on off angle which i assume is what you mean by flanking and which case it’s still isnt very effective since mcree will most definitely notice or hear (Hanzo is loud since he’s a sniper), in which case no your version if flanking doesn’t really work as the moment you show your face he’ll shoot it or simply take cover

When double shield was at it’s strongest, and you played Hanzo, you played not any only as a Defense hero (Before role integration), but also a flanker as well. You force the enemy team to constantly be watching out for you, as you could appear, get a kill, and get out thanks to wall cimb.
He’s even more of that now, because now he has the horizonal mobility to allow so.

oh so you’re deciding to use a smurf account for your overwatch forums, now why might you be in mere silver unless of course you’re stomping lower ranks in which case you’re scum for bullying people in lower ranks, and no people didn’t pick hanzo in double barrier for his flanking ability, they do it cause he shred through shields and tanks, if you ask someone to name a tank buster they’ll say either Reaper, bastion, Mcree, Junkrat, or HANZO. If you told them to name a flanker hanzo wouldn’t even be in the top 5, so no people don’t choose him to flank or to counter an apparently a deaf Mcree who somehow can’t beat a projectile hero at his own range and that out of all the different heroes and strategy that be used to counter a mcree, only one character and only one niche, impractical strategy is the only way to beat, BS
