I’m writing to report an ongoing and extremely frustrating issue I’ve been facing in Overwatch. For quite a while now, I’ve consistently encountered players—both on my team and the opposing side—who are blatantly using XIM adapters or similar devices to gain an unfair advantage by simulating mouse and keyboard inputs on console.
It has reached a point where nearly every game I queue into has at least one player who is clearly XIMing. This isn’t just speculation—many of these players openly admit to using it, and their movements, precision, and aim tracking clearly reflect the unnatural accuracy associated with mouse input on console.
I’ve read that Overwatch has systems in place to detect XIM users and reroute them to PC lobbies. However, based on my recent experience, it doesn’t seem like that detection system is working properly. These players are still very much in console lobbies, and it’s ruining the competitive integrity and overall enjoyment of the game for me and many others. I’ve submitted numerous reports, but I’ve seen no noticeable action being taken, and I’m really starting to feel discouraged.
This is deeply upsetting as Overwatch is my favorite game, and I just want to enjoy fair matches like it’s meant to be. XIM usage is blatant cheating, and I truly hope more decisive action can be taken to detect, remove, or reroute these users to where they belong.
Please escalate this issue to the appropriate team. Console players deserve a level playing field.
