never took it personally, his attitude is demeaning, and he wants to put everyone else down so he feels better about himself. and i dont see why should anyone let him get away with it. and if i didnt think there was a person behind that screen i would not be so harsh.

if he is, it is more important he learns to not exist as a toxic entity.

considering his on going attitude, they definitely mean to be demeaning. but even if he wasnt doing so intentionally it does not relinquish their culpability in the act. if i accidently kill someone i still killed someone, sure i get less time for it. but i am still responsible.

i didnt get worked up i just dont tolerate bully behaviour.

i didnt brag, i stated. and i only did that because you clearly didnt read it. which by the way you bragged about.

you know you sound like a broken record of the wrong song. you are more confusing now than anything else. what is this defense mechanism? the moment anyone challenges you you stop reading and just say they cant control their emotion. have you heard of the ad homonym fallacy?

here is my bet, your response to this comment will say how my emotions are out of control and i dont make any sense because of it. my dude you clearly didnt bother reading my response and yet you reply to it. your responses are like you read the first sentence and then ignored the rest. as you will probably do with this one. what a sad excuse for a conversation you are.

It’s easy. When you see impeccable aim, cooldown control, intelligent ult usage and pro flanking from a hero with the default game skin, level 1 endorsement, no title and private profile - it’s a smurf.

When you’ve played this game enough, it becomes very easy to spot them.

Or it’s a gamer that’s played any sort of game for a significant amount of time within the last two decades.

I have 11k matches in dota peak divine 5 if i start league of legends now i will not understand nothing. My peak in csgo was first class and in ow gm if i try valorant i gonna suck. This forums its full of garbage

From low thru upper middle tiers, players see these “super skilled new accounts” in every game mode, every day. Since like smurfs/alts, they will quickly be scooped up and settle into their proper tiers, yet they keep re-appearing. This means there is a fresh pipeline of these “very good players in new accounts” continually joining the game.

Which is the most likely source?

  1. lots of very experienced gamers from other games have started playing OW2
  2. lots of OW2 players maxed out their main accts and are now smurfing

We saw this in OW1, and this was predicted at launch. Once the freshness of OW2 goes away, and once players plateau on their main accounts - THEY START SMURFING.

We all saw this coming. I just didn’t think it would be this fast.

It’s actually the exact opposite, players achieve their rank after an unfun grind of unbalanced matchmaking and then prefer to play on their alts.

The problem is that the game is not fun to play on main accounts. Why would I play with plats on my GM account when I can make a new account and get placed in the same lobbies due to MMR except i dont care if a low rank throws my game.

I can see where you’re coming from, but you also have to contend with the idea that a lot of base mechanics still exist between MOBA’s like they do in FPS’s to a lesser extent.

League might not make you an expert at DOTA might not make you an expert at HOTS, but experience in one will allow you to pick up the others at a faster pace than you would going in cold.

You’ll probably pick up Valorant pretty quickly, it’s a CSGO clone with hero mechanics.

You won’t be GE or T500 levels of proficient, but you’ll hardly exhibit noobish anachronisms.

What’s most likely? Probably a mix of both if I’m being completely honest and rational. There are certainly alts and Smurfs, but there’s also likely plenty of skilled FPS players trying the game out for the first time as well. I don’t know if there is a definitive swing in either direction without some objective measure.

Yeah this happened, but there was never any sort of barometer to measure the impact. It usually devolved into assumptions and witch-hunt tactics as “proof” outside of players just admitting or displaying proof of their own alts/Smurfs.

I don’t think the issue is as doom-and-gloom or as daunting as suggested, again not without some solid measurement to suggest it is.
