if tanks were less impactful, everyone else would be getting hit with things like sleep, nade, discord, hack, magnetic grenade, ice wall, and just general spam a LOT more, because it would be less valuable to use those things on the tank
if the punching bag isnt threatening, no one will punch it, they will punch you instead
