I’ve noticed a lot more abusive/ hateful/ generally disgusting messages in in- game chat lately. While we have the option to report these players and squelch them in chat to hide future messages, why don’t we have the option to hide their original message? I was actually really shaken up seeing what someone had said in chat recently (it was literally so disgusting that I won’t repeat it) and having to continue to see it in chat was really unsettling. Having the option to delete messages like this would make chat so much safer, for lack of a better word- and it would be a great feature for streamers too.

In WoW when you report someone, it wipes the previous chat. But it’s all chat, not just the person you reported. While I think something like this is possible, you’d want to suggest this in #general-discussion as devs aren’t monitoring the troubleshooting area for new ideas.
