None of this non sense that was in the alpha which anyone can tell you wasn’t even a damn tank (come on who in their right minds thought a hero with only 300 health would ever be a tank in this game especially without dedicated defensive powers like Zarya bubbles.

He is a total mess that was only deemed not a problem because he was buggy as all hell thus impossible to get value out of
now he’s getting his value and we see what a screw up this was.
The devs tried tellling us he wasn’t planned and this was forced through by player demand. which is funny since that speculation was all about that dive tank with maybe one big knockback. that’s the only idea everyone had for doomfist.
They could make him an actual tank, with base health 350-400 and nerf his ability to 1 punch people and instead require 2 punches for 200 hp target.

Or how about we just remove him because his kit is the dumbest thing ever.
I know removing a hero that has been in the game for a while or a long time
is a brave move or a move that would show defeat or something idk.
But sometimes you just have to in order to keep your game fun and to make balance easy.
I mean come on his kit only has 2 modes: good and bad.
Nerf it, it becomes bad, buff it or fix it and it turns into a glorified confirmed kill in the right hands or in the hands of someone who knows how to use him.
This game does not have hard counters so who is going to counter him?

This game would literally be fine without him and people would forget about him in a snap. “History will forget you”.
And if you’re asking “well if so then what will they do about the items we unlocked for him?” For every item you unlocked for him you get a refund… ingame money wise.
Everyone always compares him to juggling in a fighting game. I see many people have never actually played a fighting game, because then they would know that in fighting games, you can literally infinite combo someone without them being able to retaliate, whereas Doomfist has a 1 move “combo” that still let’s people look around, use abilities, shoot, and kill him. But totally a fighting game. /s

Nah he will be even more annoying since he won’t be protecting anybody and will become much weaker as DD.
If now he unwelcomed as an enemy after taking a tank slot he won’t be welcomed as a teammate as well.
So he can just go whoop and psh me around removing my actual control (aside from Looking around which is SOOOOOO good /s)
And tyou either land the perfect headshot or you get annihilted as he removed control
And that’s assuming your not a tank getting annihilated.
And then what. One hero gets removed because a group of people dont like them?

Because those heroes and more are practically despised by many, many people. So youre either proposing they remove a hero just because you personally dislike them and the playstyle. Or youre proposing we remove half the cast.

Rework to change the hero entirely in the same way sym is now a new hero. We don’t know how it wuld work.

True enough, but another reason why he can’t be redeemed at all, his core design is cancer and defently dosen’t belong in a shooter based game.
And if you throw it away completly that won’t even be DF anymore, easier to just get rid of him and replace with someone else.
They already did that with Sym so why not just replace him, wouldn’t be hard to just give him one boop or something on the doomfist and then attach some kind of defensive power to him and boom
