Make a vote kick system

It opens more opportunities for bullying and improper usage more so than the “mass report the off-meta users!!!” already does.

So no.

Basically, the gamers as a whole are too immature to trust with such power. rip

why avoid answering the question?

The less power this community has to directly punish other players, the better.

Blizzard Developers are good, they can make it so it would work. Here are some reasons:

Someone who has been reported by at least half the team for and the match hasn’t started yet. Usually someone throwing already or just being toxic.

Spamming would be another reason. You know spamming in this case is the one who keeps clicking select before you’re in game.

the second you mentioned TF2 my brain immediately brought up the snare drums that play when the vote starts, and all the bigger drums when votes are tallied. TF2 will never leave me lol

because anyone who’s played this game doesnt need any explanation as to it why it wouldnt work also just for the record op should be the one showing the proof or reasoning as to why it would work but ill humor you

With this community you pick a hero some doesnt like theyll try to kick you someone thinks your throwing even though your giving it your all? kick.

(ironically theres a reason right above your reply to me)

No it wouldn’t. people would get wrongfully kicked

I hated that thing. Half of the time its ‘no reason given’

So… vote kick in a competitive game… should be fun.

Hi Aspen. Good idea.

Have you actually seen the Overwatch community? Heck, I support your idea just because I want to see the chaos.

It wont work. I would be banned immediately. Because of my levels played, Then if i made it past the initial phase, I would have some want to ban me because they think i should be better than I am. So just in my case, no. There would be many other reasons why, but i just know of what my experience have been and it would only get worse if there was a ban system.

Judging by majority of OW community, this would get abused ALOT.

Ick, no…

Left 4 Dead 2 is a wonderful example - the second you start playing in competitive versus modes, teammates are quick to vote kick you after a single mistake. Miss a charge? Someone calls a vote!

If people think playing comp is demoralizing already then wait until you get teammates begging to kick you minutes in (lord help you if SR loss is still a thing). The best thing that idea can do is further highlight the already available LFG system. :joy:

They should enhance the endorsement function. Have, just like in LFG, you can have a certain amount of endorsements to play on your team. Make it too where low levels play with low levels, and the higher you are the potential for bad/toxic players goes down. Let the toxics play with each other.

“We have a Widow on our team. KICK!”

I dunno, man. Call me either crazy or fortunate, but in about 2,000 hours of TF2, I’ve never seen anyone votekicked for being cooperative, capable, or positive. I’ve only ever seen people kicked for mic spam, inactivity, or just being a dillhole in general.

Could you imagine if you got grouped with a 4 stack and locked into a hero someone on that 4 stack wanted to play.

kicked

yes, because since the community has shown they can’t have a report system without resulting in constant false reports, clearly giving those people more power is a good idea.

it’s going to just become “that player picked a non meta hero, kick them”
