Yes. Sombra is great.
The problem isn’t Sombra, it’s the inability of solo queuers to play as a team with a non-meta comp.
They counter each other. Lucio goes first and it is countered by EMP.
Sombra goes first and it is countered by Sound Barrier.
Also, a good Lucio can avoid getting hacked pretty easily.
I play both. I want lots of creative, varied heroes to choose from but only if those creative abilities are balanced. Sombra has the worst overall win rate of any hero, and she gets more complaints than most. Not balanced.

The obsession with balance is what leads to mediocrity.
So she’s a hard hero to play? So what.
Not just “hard to play.” Objectively bad.
Yeah - nah. It’s the inability for some players to communicate with their team.
Plus, if you actually want to carry your games in lower brackets, you shouldn’t be playing Sombra (same with Mercy or Lucio unless you have a carry), you should really be playing McCree, Genji or Tracer - anything that has a high skill ceiling.
Sombra wrecks when used by someone who knows how to play her.

Can we just change hack so that it’s not useless half the time and a brain dead hard counter the rest? Sombra’s just terribly designed, she makes a fun fps into a game of rock/paper/scissors as soon as she shows up.

I’m a Lucio main and I agree. I would be totally fine with it under one condition.
When hacked, Lucio plays mariachi music.

I do, and I think that at that point things were tilted too far in Lucio’s favor. It was really too easy to just wallride away and ignore her.
They simply went too far by creating this special “hack only” mode for his auras. I dont mind losing wallriding. After all, Genji loses double jump and wall climb, Hanzo loses wall climb; it’s fair.
I do agree that hack is really unworkable from a philosophical basis and should be transformed into something more group friendly which encourages her to stay with her team more and gives her relative value.
Mercy is extremely vulnerable while Hacked. Her survival depends on her high mobility, and that is tied to her skills. I only play Mercy, so I don’t know others; but even with this, it’s clear it’s not just Lucio.

Mercy can heal while hacked, and still has her regen. Sorry, different levels of power. If Mercy lost her regen and were forced to just her pistol, we would have equivalence, although, even then, her pistol is more powerful than Lucio’s gun.
Hacking lucio is a skilled accomplishment since most of them are slippery fast at avoiding it.
