Lucio is literally gonna become more obvious in his power as Brig starts to receive nerfs. Her losing armour alone is going to make the scale weight heavily in Lucios favour. It’ll be interesting to see how quick it takes the community to catch on.
itll be interesting to see malding support players realize that no one has a problem with lucio being meta, because hes actually a well designed hero.

I’m calling it now. Lucio will be hunted next. I don’t really care because I also think he is a balanced hero and I’m glad Brigitte is being toned down to his level. But they will and I repeat they WILL start to complain. Not just DPS, everyone.

you can be stunned out of it, you can punch through it, you can run sombra and completely shut him down

Plus you proved my point for me, Speed can enable comps that people dis-like, therefore it got nerfed and if he becomes meta again, it’ll be one of the first things complained about. Again, Brigitte is better than him atm, and I’m glad she’s being brought back to his level, but that will reveal the very blatant and obvious power he has that been slept on and people will hunt him en mass.
no one with an inkling of a brain will witchhunt lucio, and if someone does, they’ll be shut down by the people who do have an inkling of a brain

Just saying. I agree, I think he’s well balanced and a completely good character. I fully 100% agree. But he will be next, when they do start, Imma just watch. Gonna be fun to see him get targeted, as they won’t really have a leg to stand on, yet they’ll push. Mark my words.
there really isnt anything negative that lucio contributes to the game. The reason other heroes have been targeted were very specific reasons
Moira output too much healing, and is too easy for her reward output
Baptistes immortality was oppressive, alongside his AOE burst healing of 60 HPS
Brigs armor and CCs were oppressive, gatekeeping sustained DPS from viability, while making the game worse for tank players by adding another 2 CCs for them to get hammered by

Lucio actively makes the game better, same with zen and ana in the support lineup. Zen originally got nerfed just because a meta change was needed, and he was a cornerstone of dive, through his discord orb allowing dive to easily focus down visually marked targets with *50%% more damage
People hated speed for a while and Ana is current in the process of being hunted over nano and Anti-nade…
I think they’re fine but Ana literally just proves my point. I think she’s balanced but 2 parts of her kit is currently being hunted.
Pickrate in GM. That’s generally the accepted stat around here…

Yeah but the game isn’t a vacuum so capability isn’t a trustworthy metric in the slighest, especially if you’re using theoretical maximum efficiency & a random Lucio clip as a basis for your argument. Anyone can set up some hypothetical statement, but it won’t prove a point.
If we were to look strictly at numbers, then why don’t we complain about Bastion or Reaper? Because the numbers don’t mean anything on their own.
As I said in other replies, I’m not agreeing or disagreeing with OP’s statement, merely pointing out that that comparison is completely meaningless.
