its absolutely ridiculous how much skill varies in lower elo. I know I am not good I can deal with tthat. But the skill range shouldnt be 1000 sr.

Well you found the root of your problem, now find the solution (and no, it’s not Blizzard changing something just cause YOU don’t know how to deal with it)

Skill isn’t a one-dimensional thing. Someone might have pretty decent aim but they have horrible game sense. You’ll probably lose 1v1s against them if you get stuck in a duel (assuming neither of you hard-counters the other) but they don’t stand a better chance of winning the game itself.

I get that

but the point still remains how much skill varies in lower elo. There are people at x rating that should of never broken x-500 and some that you have no idea how they are not at least x+500 in terms of rating.

There shouldnt be this much variance. I understand some margin of error is to be expected but this is ridiculous

I climbed from triple digit bronze to gold in the last couple seasons because i finally realised and fixed a couple really dumb mistakes i was making. If people have made the same kind of epiphany about their gameplay, they’ll be climbing too.

You don’t expect it, YOU ARE THAT PLAYER SOMETIMES, and you have to realize that, people aren’t consistent, so make yourself consistent and climb.

I would record my games but my pc cant record AND run at 144 fps without the recording dumping tons of frames making the video unwatchable. 144 FPS is pretty demanding.

If you want to improve hard enough you’ll find a way to record or look at your gameplay somehow

outside of playing at 60 fps I dont see myself being able to do it. The cpu can handle it but the GPu cant. I only have a 1060

Play at 60 FPS then. Trust me, if you’re at gold, there’s bigger issues than your aim

a 1060 is MORE than enough to record with shadowplay, are you running at all high settings or something?

yeah I wouldn’t recommend anyone do this, it can give people eye soreness trying to adjust and screw up your aim and lower response time.

Word, i was streaming with a . 1050 2 GB. You can definitely RECORD with a 1060. Just play with low settings (which you should be doing regardless)

If it’s the only way to record, it’d be worth it for one game. There’s clearly bigger mistakes than his aim and his reaction time if he’s in gold.

I run at lowest settings. I record at 60 fps cause its a recording who cares.

I have a 1060 with an i7 and I cant record while playing the game at 144 it just drops too many frames it freezes on the recording and its annoying

Yeah you’re not supposed to be recording at 144fps my dude.

a 1060 shouldn’t, have you been updating your gfx drivers and whatnot

yep drivers are maybve a month old or two at most. But I ahvent tried to record in ages cause I had no luck.
