I have “lost connection to server” twice towards the end of comp games causing my to lose 100sr. The first time I lost 50sr and was suspended 10 minutes. The second time I got docked an additional 50sr but was suspended for 30 minutes. Since these both happened at the end of the games I was not able to restart my game and join back up with my group before it ends. Causing a loss the first time and then missing out on a win in the second. My internet isn’t cutting out and this is a problem my friends and apparently other forum posters are experiencing. Aside from trying to get my sr back can you guys please fix this issue.
This same thing happened to me. Now I cant get into Overwatch.
Unfortunately all disconnections and game crashes counts as leaving the match and will be penalized appropriately. The game server has no way to discern a legitimate disconnection or game crash from one that is forcefully caused by a dishonest player to bypass leaver penalties. Remember if you see the message, “Lost Connection to the Server” in the title screen or the message “Failed to Connect to Server” in yellow text in the text chat box, this means there is something that disrupted your connection to the game server and not a problem with the game server itself. There can be a variety of reasons this happens including those that don’t disconnect your computer from the Internet.
