Lost Connection to Game Server

So every time i have tried to log into the game recently (past 2 or 3 days), it keeps booting me from the menus. I cannot even get into a game at the moment. The last two weeks were fine with no disconnections.

I reset the router, changed the wifi channels, ran the blizzard repair and nothing works. Seemingly i only get this problem with Blizzard Games. I was playing classic and this started happening and switched to SWTOR and never booted once. Was playing total war online and not booted once, I was playing some CS:Go and never booted. Why does it seem to only happen on the Battle.net

So the internet is obviously working for other services, but your route to Blizzard might have a problem. Can you run a looking glass and post it here?

Just to clarify, which is the issue:

  1. You log in and then it disconnects you.
  2. You attempt to join a match and get booted to the menu.

The connection test isn’t showing any issues to the login server. However, if you’re experiencing the second thing I mentioned, we’d want to use a different tool.

both things happen.

Ill log onto battle.net then click play overwatch and it will either log in and go so far as “entering match” then not load and show the disconnection banner and ill have to retype my credentials to log back in

-or-

It will log me into the screen and wont let me select anything past the start game or hero gallery. meaning i can see the options but it wont let click on anything… then the disconnection banner pops up and i get kicked and have to reenter my credentials

Perhaps there is network optimization software on your PC, like KillerNIC or similar?

ok its deleted. i believe i remember getting rid of it to play WoW Classic. i think. anyway, the only thing left in the folder was the setup for DC. I just deleted that all together. Still no luck.

The thing that perplexes me is that i was able to play with no disconnections for about 2 weeks after i downloaded the game, then this started happening. The game did update and i had an update on my computer as well. maybe something there?

If you have Dragon Center installed, it has a LAN Manager feature. Disabling that feature or uninstalling the program is recommended as a test to verify if it’s related. It’s a free program that can be reinstalled any time from the MSI web site.

Let us know how things go. Cheers!

yup able to log in but can’t click anything, then i get disconnected.

(also accidently edited the post above instead of making a new one. there has been a game update and a computer update for myself.
