Lost a game against a 3200sr Widow

There is nothing to be learned from a high tier player on a low tier smurf who is spawn camping you for the majority of the match.

There is nothing to be learned from a high tier player on a low tier smurf who keeps walling your team in spawn as Mei.

There is nothing to be learned from a high tier player on a low tier smurf who keeps jumping off the map as Genji.

This happens more often than not on console whenever smurfs are involved.

So great that you managed to climb, but your game experience =/= everyone else’s.

Gotta love that people defend actual derankers who are actually breaking the rules and need to be banned cue to sr manipulation, and make it about people whining how they have trouble climbing.

Playing against GM+ Widows in HS rooms pretty much trains you in this. Nothing better than getting wrecked into oblivion so I can correct my mistakes. Yes it’s bitter, but that’s the best way to improve.

Nothing? I’m pretty sure you can at least learn how not to walk straight on the same spot over and over again. If you fail to correct your bad habits that is getting punished harder by a better player, then it is on you.

Getting away with bad decisions in lower ranks doesn’t mean you can stay sticking to them forever if you want to actually improve.

people in comp always want to improve and climb right? imagine what happens when they get to higher ranks are they still gonna rant about smurfs then? xD just take the loss and learn from ur lessons. ye it sucks to lose against smurfs but u can always improve with failures. failures are great experience.

Did you even read my post or did you just get to ā€œThere is nothing to be learnedā€ and assume the rest?

Because given your response about learning ā€œhow not to walk straight on the same spot over and over againā€, you didn’t read it, because my first example was talking about being spawn camped.

Losing can be a learning experience, yes, but getting ROFLstomped by high tiers on their low tier smurfs is not such an opportunity.

The only thing you learn from that is how much you despise Blizzard choosing their own greed (sales from smurf accounts) over making sure Competitive is an optimal experience for players.

Patience… once the prize drops low enough or the game goes f2p they eventually will understand the issue with ranked matches in middle ranks.

I’m pretty sure the objective on a disposable account isn’t winning unlike his teammates that might have sticked to their single main account…

Agree, a few weeks back I was in this normal arcade deathmatch and it was off-hours in which we ended up playing for hours with litterary the same people. It was 5 master/gm, 2 diamonds (me included) and this one silver guy that played 3-4 games and the first ones he didn’t manage to get a kill but then he got 5 the last game before he got moved to another lobby or quit and was super happy. He also played more careful and didn’t stand in the open the same way I noticed him doing the first few games.

Not saying that being stomped is fun or that you necessarily have to learn from it however if you only beat people who don’t really put up a good fight you wont really learn much from that either.

Instead of breaking down and QQ about how horrible life is when getting matched against a player that is on a much higher skill level try to shut him down or work around him.
If the game is completly lost due to it being more then just one person just make the most out of it by having fun and try to challenge them and whatnot.

Sometimes especially when I play with my gold/plat friends on my other diamond account I get called smurf and the hate, flame & QQ that goes with it. The sad part is that many of those games before someone decides to give up mentally instead of playing really could have gone either way in terms of end result.
Once you get that one guy QQing about someone ā€œsmurfingā€ his teammates are bound to either jump on the QQ wagon with him or get on the triggered train where you are mad/irritated about having teammates that’s given up which take your own focus away from the game.
This obviously leads to the final stage of the proccess in which there’s no coming back from and that is how they start playing without a brain, playing with insane tilt and choking everything and that kind of makes it easy for someone to pick you off, like it’s very likely that the guy you think is better actually becomes unbeatable by you playing into his crosshair without being fully aware of it even and instead see it as another sign to your already biased opinion which eventually leads to the other team winning a big fight and that kill feed might as well have been the ā€œdefeatā€ message.

They want fair games, how is that a hard concept to understand?

That’s not even my objective on this account(My main). My objective is to have fun and improve. Having the mindset of winning come first will do nothing bt make you lose even more.

i doubt a single person from 3,2k diamond peak can roflstomp silvers lmfao

Is your comprehension of this subject really so poor that you don’t understand the difference between a 3200 rated player in a 1700 rated game and someone who’s climbed to say…2900 being introduced to a 3200 rated game in order to see if he’s good enough to continue climbing?

When people are learning something having someone who’s very good at it show up and dummy them is not a valuable learning experience.

Fun is subjective, winning (a match!) isn’t which makes it a best compromise for a goal in a match. If you prioritize your own goals above those of the rest of team that’s on you, but allowing those functions (blizzardwise) in comp undermines the point of that mode.

Some would perceive trolling and throwing as fun too. If you allow that kind of reasoning you can’t ban those players.

PS: Basically I’m seeking more protection for older accounts

The matchmaking did it’s job sense he is ranked 1700, blame the player for throwing his way down there, not the system sense it put you and him together (cuz you have the same Sr!)

LOL - thats about half the player-base above gold…

I’m an idiot and have bad aim how does this work.

You must play Moira or Brig I guess…

Sorry that’s mean…

These threads annoy me bc I know my SR depends on who I am maining. Ashe 3500plus. Doom 2200.

If I didn’t have smurfs for each respective character I practice ppl would think that I’m a ā€œderanker.ā€ If you play on a smurf ppl complain about smurfs. If you play on your main ppl will report you for ā€œderanking.ā€ they literally complain and report no matter what you do.

Nah reinhardt and zarya. Don’t need good aim if I hammer or shoot projectile bombies. (Btw I am disgusted by the idea of playing brig or moira, I would only play moira if I ever needed to solo heal).
