I don’t need to provide any evidence.
It’s a fact that in order to climb out of the lower ranks, at this point in the game, you need to be able to 1v6 every game.
That’s just how it is.

I would bet you 2000 dollars that you couldn’t climb an account out of bronze solo and to the rank that you are at now.
Won’t happen.
People talk a lot of smack though, but they can’t back it up.
They like to talk about “what they did before” yet if I analyzed the games where you so called “carried hard” I could find where your teammates did their job effectively in order to enable you to do your job.
There are people who can 1v6 and solo climb, that are that good.
But they are like 5% of the OW player base.
So let me ask you something.
Do you realize there are people out there paying to get their accounts boosted?
Do you know there are a lot of folks out there now doing grimey techniques in order to facilitate the people who want their accounts boosted?
Don’t give me anecdotal examples from several seasons ago.
Talking about right now.
Lets talk about the so called “mechanical skill” of silvers and bronze.
Lets talk about how I regularly get in games with sliver and bronze hanzos and widows who completely wipe the enemy out and carry hard.
Lets talk about how people are boosting accounts and getting paid to do it.
Lets talk about how it’s not an even playing field.
This thread is making fun of people who think they don’t belong in their rank.
It’s idiotic to just make fun of them when people don’t even realize what’s going on.
Ok i don’t know why you insisted on replying in 4 separate comments with what I’m sure is another… but lets get started.
no where did i say this? people do deserve there rank 100%. but a mercy main 1v6? youre literally taking the most extreme example possible to try to prove some point which i think everyone has written off from you at this point. i said its possible. its a team based game, 1vX means nothing, its not CoD. i never said its required…
except i never said this, i dont see why you needed to use two comments to repeat yourself. it doesnt make anything you say anymore true the more times you say it…
oh of course you don’t. you expect others too just so you can say they’re wrong. but when someone asks you to provide anything its “oh i don’t have to do anything its a “fact””. you have one of the weakest arguments I’ve seen on the forums. its not “how it is” considering its a TEAM game. flexibility, shotcalling, teamwork, those are the skills needed to advance in this game. not solo play.
ok here we go again. your points are so laughable now lol.
i guess its time to teach you how the MM works there bud. theres a thing called “hidden MMR”. that helps determine your Skill Rating (SR) to place you in fair matches with and against other people with similar skill. if i throw every game and shoot walls until i hit lvl 25 and then throw my placements doing the same thing, i would probably place in low bronze. now if i went full on try hard mode with zen or soldier, heck maybe even Rein the MMR would adjust because it would see my skill level is worlds apart from the dumpster fire im playing in.
which means, i would eventually be put in my true rank… so yeah anyone can do it. have you not seen the Bronze -GM videos? and that’s what higher tier players can do. imagine a plat or diamond, it wouldn’t be hard.
and no where did i say i “carried hard”. as a matter of fact i said…
maybe your reading comprehension needs some work. you seem to be pulling out ideas from information that isn’t even there.
go check my NotAYatta account. i peaked at top 1000 moira. this is a throw away i use to play with my friends and fiance. but nice try boyo! but when you climb out of bronze, YOU can talk about the SR system. again your points are just a joke now ![]()
I’ll take that bet - lets go!
I will gladly take that bet? Where do we begin and what do I have to play?
Okay so I’ll step in 65% win rate Moira and Top 100 in the world. I agree with everything NightRaven has stated.
Lol step aside. Let a real Bronze/Silver dps main talk.
This is factually incorrect. I’m not able to carry 1v6 unless I’m having an amazing day and I generally perform above my rank (Oversumo-so mechanically). I win those few games where I do 1v6 and instead of saying “you need to be Valkia to climb on Pharah” when I loose I realise that I must be doing something at a Silver/Bronze level.
Except that game on Blizzard World, but we don’t talk about Blizzard World…
This is dumb. I’ll take the bet considering that I’m Silver BUT since no conditions are attached guess I’ll play Pharah…
Edit: replying to OP not you cash.
What do you consider low tier? Because I can easily climb through any tier below mine with any role. I am mid/high plat. I don’t consider myself god tier of even close to it because I am only in plat and I actually suck. I am just better than lower tiers than mine and it’s easy to climb out of.
If you’re in low elo Voice Comms are utterly pointless whether you want to believe it or not.
It’s fun pushing past 20k healing as a Moira and the DPS still can’t kill sh-t. Yup, all me though.
And with your superior experience can you 1v5 plats?
All I’m saying is that saying that yiu can 1v5 plats because you’re diamond is more bragging than facts
I’ve been there, where there seems to be smurfs, always on the other team (of course). But the thing you don’t realize is the majority of your games are normal 6v6’s the issue is that you only realize when you aren’t having fun not when you are. This is why so many people go rampant about throwers and griefers not allowing them to climb, but someone 200 sr above me or you could easily climb back to their sr. It’s not the throwers, it’s not the boosted players or smurfs, IT’S YOU. concentrate on getting better at the game rather than blaming other people. or stay hardstuck
False. I have seen GM’s play in plat games and do well but certainly can’t one v 6 a team.
