Paladins 2 hasn’t been announced but there’s definitely a demand for it… from the current Paladins players mainly. Paladins players on Reddit have at least 2 “Paladins 2” discussion posts every month where they say stuff like “If HIREZ ever makes Paladins 2 they should go from scratch on a new engine but keep most of the same champions to remove bugs and look better/modern in graphics” or “they could add Play of the Match back or killcams” etc.

I agree, an engine update would be nice. They could move to UE5 like what’s happening with Smite 2. It’s sad to think that some champions might be retired, but at the same time, the roster and ability distribution IS a bit cluttered. With modern graphics, the game would be awesome. Think of the maps we’ll have!

I was admittedly pretty sad when they removed Play of the Match, although it’s meaningless in OW2 nowadays as well, since it’s shown after most people have already left the lobby. Plus half the time it’s a bogus play anyway, like just the level 2 Soldier standing in his biotic field and wiggle-peeking, getting a 0K. Or the torb running back from spawn while his turret gets busy. PoTG is a joke anymore, and just another manipulation mechanic (dopamine reward for spending on microtransactions.)

Exactly why I added that. Some are even hoping the PvE that Overwatch 2 failed on gets added to Paladins if they get a sequel. But where’s the lore at? Unless they mean completely non lore.

Didnt need to be said then. So there is demand from the small player base that isnt enough to make this happen.

I know somebody out there wants this but when i say there isnt demand for it mean there isnt enough, not there there is literally none at all.

what was wrong with the original? it never was close as popular as overwatch in any point in time. so they are now going full meme and try to get attention by doing the ow2 move. its honestly no rocketscience. releasing paladins 2 now is atleast gonna give em some spike in players, some attention.

As someone who played both paladins and Overwatch since launch there’s a chance, but it’s very very small.
Hi Rez has a tendency to mess things up quite easily with lack of dev resources that’s lead to paladins feeling like it’s held together by Scotch tape. That and the aim assist they have feels like an aimbot

Modders brought back Battleborn 1. Well, the story mode of BB1 at least, but that’s still cool.

sadly feels like a cheap unpolished knock off if I am honest.

unlike palworld which took ark and only copied all good aspects while leaving the trash outside.

paladins kinda made ow in worse maybe with different balancing.

ow’s character models and map detail is just in my eyes unmatched. very smooth and fluid experience.

just my opinion.
doesn’t mean a replacement isn’t possible.

I forgot how fun the game was; I had it on the PS4 for a bit but stopped playing when Overwatch took over my life. Its funny how the tables turn.
