I had a leaver in one of my matches just now, and lost over 25 SR for it, I am beyond pissed. It was a literal 5v6, there was no way we would have been able to win, the fact that I lost any SR at all, because of somebody else, because of a circumstance completely out of my control, is ridiculous. I’d understand taking a little hit, since we did lose the game, but 25? That’s an entire game’s worth of SR, gone, because somebody decided to leave.

If they didn’t do this, you would have groups where people take turns leaving to minimize Sr loss when they we’re losing.
Or you would get people abusing their team mates hard to try to force then out, so they would lose less Sr.
It sucks, but it sucks less than the alternative.

Then simply increase the penalty hammer. 2 hours or more
No, just make the penalty high enough that there is no payoff, ie the leaver loses more sr than everyone else saves in total.
