That’s what the game should have always been 1 tank, 1 support. Tanks/ supports are too broken to be more than one of them. If you’re lacking tanks/ supports you lose, tank synergy is broken, supports are broken besides classic but even mass rez is annoying as hell
The biggest problem with raidboss tanks is support sustain with the dps passive being nerfed to 10% with two supports pumping broken amounts of heals into ONE raidboss tank who is unkillable unless you kill the supports
Every game would be Winston Tracer Genji Sombra Lucio since no other support would be viable solo into full dive. Couple months in dps queues reach 48 hours and forum posts start dropping crying about game being dead
Overwatch 2 would be good if the dps passive was at 20% against tanks and they removed headshot reduction ( delete Sigma shield as well )
There’d be only 1 tank and 1 support so the queues would be fine. LOL they could buff the single support to feel great. Not with broken hp/ utility but good damage output
He is not wrong here thou. The dps passive has been nerfed rigously. At the same time we somehow ended up buffing all support healing and increased health pools.
Liking OW2 is literally borderline impossible when there was OW1 once upon a time. Remember people sat in 20 min queues to play that game.
OW2 would be good if we could have s9 release patch back. Thou we can’t have nice things like all roles actually having equal power. Cause woopsie everyone apple rly plays dps when they are just as strong and not miserable. Can not have that, can not have long queue times, nope! Support queue times being longer just says it all, even if MM conditions are a lot loser.
Yeah they made dps cosmetic, DPS all are mid besides Tracer
Supports and tanks are in their own tiers. If you did a tier list tanks would be S++, supports S tier, Tracer A tier, the rest of the dps roster B tier. Only saying Tracer A tier, cause 5.5 damage she’d be S with 6
So equal “power” between roles, is kind of pointless. Because they serve completely different functions. And trying to compare how valuable your space maker holder (tank) is to your healing utility provider (support) and your massive damage provider and kill confirmer (Damage)
Just results in a nothing burger, because their all important in their own ways. Even tho their responsibility to kill things overlap.
No a single DPS shouldn’t be able to solo a tank, Yes a support should be able to deny a kill when investing resources, No the dps shouldn’t be the only ones capable of killing things.
You can just say your trash without having to add that much.
But joking aside,
Ya dps output like 1.5~2x their tank and support counter parts. And their kits are full of mobility and kill confirm tools, specifically made to do the latter.
were as someone like ana can’t even kill a full-hp hero off a sleep, before then can wraith / ice block / dash / kill combo back.
(Ya DPS have immortalities to, you know. Heck zarya bubble lets you eat any bit of burst damage including d.va bomb)
