To be fair they say Clash will only be removed in Ranked games while they´re working on it but still be playable in other unranked modes. Just like when they removed certain heroes for a limited time from ranked when there was a major bug to handle so that players wouldn´t have a disadvantage or advantage.
I understand that way of handling it especially for Ranked where it effects players ranks.
Push is fine; New Queens Street and Collosseo do suck, however.
There has been countless explanation on this for Flashpoint and Clash, but it all boils down to how hyper casual the modes can be to a point that they force lopsided scenarios to make games last much longer than they should and make matchmaking/MMR seem like it still means something despite them breaking those systems back in S1 of OW2 right after the support player exodus.
Putting Assault beneath Clash and Flashpoint is an abomination lol. It wasn’t amazing, but those modes made me appreciate what we lost.
And this is intentional by its design, too. It forces one team to constantly fight at a disadvantage which basically hands the defending team a win on the platter way more than half of the time.
It’s a solid way to hide the skill disparities that has been an issue since the support exodus of S1 was covered up by removing matchmaking rules.
Eh, I’ll at least grant that Clash and Assault are equally flawed. Clash is more fixable than Assault though and it’s at least a symmetrical mode. So it’s just plain better in those regards.
Flashpoint is just outright better than Assault. Easily.
I guess, that’s because teams are larger in TF2, so it’s hard to overcome defender’s advantage on last. It’s always difficult to balance strength of respawns…

I think only their payload maps are well made, designed and very well-built. The rest of the capture point stuff is just stale, and PUSH is a map that drags on forever with no inherit value.
