This has been my problem the last 2 weeks. My internet will occasionally go on and off (maybe twice a week), but it never is longer than 30 seconds. But the rejoin match option is either bugged or it’s something server side cause I’ll typically immediately reconnect to the overwatch servers and just be stuck at the main menu watching my teammates rage in all chat, and I’ll even be able to type to them but it just locks you out of rejoining.
I’ve opted to just not play comp until the bug is fixed but it’s still unbelievably annoying because half the people on the forums are somehow under the impression that blizzard servers are perfectly fine now despite how they looked literally a week ago? or most just ignore the bug entirely and use it as an opportunity to vent
I think the way to play ranked now is to focus on your own stats and look at winning as a secondary objective. I’m almost certain that’s how the ranking system works.
It’s hard because sometimes you’ll get tilted by idiot team mates and leavers end up feeding yourself. But then you get bad stats and a loss which is the worst possible outcome.
If you put winning out of your mind you’ll either get good stats and a win or good stats and a loss. I can only hope that the game rewards you for that, perhaps even more so than the punishment for the loss.
I play support and I try to look at it like if I have a team of 4 feeding idiots then I can get an absolute ton of healing. Way more than my second support as they’re dead and way more than the enemy supports as my team are doing way less damage.
I’m not saying this is a good way to play the game, but I think it’s the way you have to play the game right now to have any hope of climbing high enough to where your team don’t act quite so brain dead.
