Launch the doom nerfs already

I’m mid/low platinum and it is stupid being attacked by a flanking doomfist and literally dying as I am calling him out. I can’t even finish the callout before I’m dead. That is not the case with any other flanker. I can strafe and use my movement against each flanker… except doomfist.

Your momentum is factored into every single boop in the game so you can go back to the stage if you have enough reaction time… unless it is doomfist.

It’s stupid.

It should. I’d be surprise if they change anything.

I discussed that with someone else in this topic, and after some thought I do agree with this. This is what I said:

In terms of the momentum nerfs given to him I can understand, but the range reduction on his Seismic Slam is unacceptable IMO.

But if my arc isn’t the same every time it isn’t automatic for you.
It also requires you to have another ability at the ready or to use another ability.
Also if you miss your punch you may fall off the stage and die.

So that’s a lot better.

I can see your logic, and while I have to wait until these changes hit live, as I’ve seen from others on the PTR it doesn’t make a difference for those who are as adept with the hero as I am. It’s a nerf to casuals, but really a non-change to the great DF players.

They’re just tightening his spread, unfortunately. No sustainability changes yet.

How about you just nerf the CC. After that he will be fine.

Your still all gonna get smacked :man_shrugging: nerfing a clearly average at best hero isnt going to make you good your just gonna blame something else.

Oh, what I meant was changes to any of the PTR patch notes. I don’t expect them to change anything when they hit live. ^^

tell that to the people who play in diamond+, doomfist is unkillable in those ranks

Isn’t this exactly “how to play doomfist 101”? I see this play constantly while I’m helpless in the air and then punched into outer space.

Says the Tracer main. However, not everyone mains a super fast mobile hero. Ana and Zen mains are hit the hardest. They can’t escape like you can, so don’t be so ignorant. Try to see their point of view, and then you might understand why they think Doomfist is OP.

You cannot be serious with this.

I thought you said i was a mercy main? :joy:

That’s what overwatch calls a counter. Like how people are as equally upset brig cant do this to tracer anymore. It’s just not okay doom does it to ana.

You like this everyone or you got a special crush on me?

4th most played hero. Still could be considered a main.

Thing is, it wasn’t a counter. Winston counters Genji right? Genji is still a viable option. However, Zen for example, is not. As soon as Doomfist stuns him, he’s dead. Zen could get a couple headshots in but hey, that doesn’t matter because Doomfist has these stupid shields. Zen and Ana also cannot escape Doomfist’s ult. That’s not a counter. That’s a hard counter. Aka - Shouldn’t be a thing.

You’re being ignorant because you don’t consider how other heroes are impacted by Doomfist. You only care about Tracer. A fast mobility hero who has no problem with Doomfist.

Judging from your previous replies throughout today I would expect nothing but sarcastic responses attempting to further this conversation, but to answer your question yes I am serious.

Oh you should expect sarcastic remarks mostly however in this one I am seriously baffled how anyone can consider his combo hard.

I want to play competitive after his (and Brig’s) nerfs come through.

But I’m also REALLY hoping they communicate that if these are too much, they’re going to keep an eye on him. Cause…I dunno how they’ll play out. It’ll be more bearable to play against him but I also don’t want him to be trash.

That’s why Doomfist has one of the highest winrates in the game.

Just kill him 4Head.
