Latency issues with Level 3 Communications ISP - 7/2

If they don’t fix this in like a week or so im just gonna get a VPN to go back to the right server. Just sucks i have to spend money for a problem not on my end.

Heya SirDrTitan,

A VPN is a baindaid fix but definitely not a bad idea. Support cannot suggest using them but it will easily fix this issue if you are familiar with how to use it.

We are definitely looking into this on our end. The winMTR tests we’ve got so far are a huge help. Please continue reporting them here as well as to your ISP if possible.

Having both the ISP and Blizzard looking into this is the best solution. Thank everyone for all the reports so far!

the issue was just discovered when i started this thread so its a super new issue. I am sure Blizzard is trying their best. just gotta be patient like i am.

Just played a game and was put back on my correct server. I’ll let you guys know if it continues to work correctly!

Glad to hear there’s improvements. It does look like our engineers attempted a fix. Please use the instructions on this post for any new reports.

Thanks!

I to am back on the correct servers thanks for fixing the issue!

Confirmed - my games today are back on ord1 and lax1, and I no longer see the 200ms latency spike in an MTR test. Thanks much!
