Did a disconnection happen when you ran the WinMTR? There aren’t any disconnections in the results. However, there’s a bit of lag in Charter’s network.
However, if you did disconnect during the test, it might be software that optimizes your connection or security software on the computer causing it.
No, there were no disconnections when I ran WinMTR in the first post, however, there was when I ran it this time. It usually disconnects as the game is ending (as was the case here).

There isn’t any packet loss here though. I’d guess that maybe the test didn’t gather the data properly if it was interrupted too quickly or we need to look a bit more to figure out whats causing the spikes and disconnections.
Could you take a screenshot of the network graph? Press CTLR+SHIFT+N to open up the network graph. Try keeping a watch for orange and white bars. If you can’t seem to capture it too well, feel free to set up a video recording instead if you’re comfortable with it.

Sure thing, that was easy enough; I coincidentally died each time they started. I have plenty more screenshots just from this one game if this doesn’t have what you’re looking for.
I’m not seeing any outbound packets being lost on either the winMTR or this netgraph. Though there are some signs of cpu overheating that could be related. To confirm try running this hardware monitor while gaming to check the temps on the PC. Feel free to provide screenshots of the report so we can help go over them!

This has been happening for the last 2 months with their servers. They will blame it on the ISP, but in reality, its’ them. Good luck getting it fixed though.
I am running an EVGA RTX 2060 KO which will not throttle until it reaches 87C per the BIOS (it is also rated to run safely 83C). I am also running a AMD Ryzen 7 3700X which is set to throttle at 75C per the mobo BIOS. Both are running in a normal range for these parts. My computer is clear of dust. If you would like I can record the frequency & temperature graphs to show that neither are throttling.
Worth noting I had the same issue when I tried playing on another computer. Same network though.
If it’s also happening on a different PC on the same network, this would indicate it’s more of a router or ISP issue. Possibly something going wrong between your router and the Overwatch servers.
The network graph screenshots were showing a spike in LOSS IN which is measuring the packet loss on the incoming connection (from Blizzard → your client). The LOSS OUT for the outgoing connection (from your client → Blizzard) looked fine however. WinMTR measures the outgoing connection (you → Blizzard).
When the spikes start happening next time can you run a Looking-Glass test? That measures from Blizzard → you.

Check MTR and Traceroute
You can probably have it pulled up and ready in a browser, then when you notice the issue tab over and hit Run Test. Hopefully that will show us more of what’s going on with the incoming connection.
I tried running Looking-Glass 3 separate times after encountering latency spikes to try to capture the issue. This wasn’t a particularly bad game though.

There’s nothing in particular that screams at me in any of these tests. There are some spikes but they immediately disappear after they show up, which tells me they’re probably not real. This only runs to the authentication servers anyway.
The last thing we can really ask for here on the forums is your DXDiag, and that will only tell us half the story at best for this kind of issue. I recommend opening a tech ticket from here so you can give support both your MSInfo and DXDiag and we can look over those for other things that might be causing the issue. Make sure to link this thread and let support know you’ve already been working on this at the forums so we don’t repeat steps with you.
