Kpop in Overwatch 2

Minecraft costs money and is more popular than lol and ow.

LoL.
Ow is easier than league of legends.

The amount of stuff you have to learn in lol is pretty high. It has 150 heroes, a lot of items, runes/masteries, different roles, different match ups etc.

On top of that it is mechanically difficult.

The only thing ow has is that you have to “aim”.

Minecraft is one of the few notable exceptions when it comes to games that are both mega popular and good. Even though it costs money, Minecraft is also available on every possible platform and incredibly easy for anyone to pick up and play, though, which is largely responsible for its popularity.

You don’t have to learn any of that, though. How many League players know what every champion does or even have every champion available to them? They’re mostly interchangeable by design. And you can auto-buy items/skills and still be plenty effective. And no MOBA is mechanically difficult. That’s part of their appeal.

If you think OW is mostly about aim, I don’t know what else to tell you. OW is less about aim than any FPS ever.

I dont have to learn anything in ow either to play it.

You said playing it effectively. Without knowing any of the above you won’t reach a high rank in LoL.

If you think that lol is not at all mechanically difficult than you have never/hardly played it.

And ow needs even less game sense than lol.

So ya, lol is more difficult than ow

im very old and out of the loop with music, i mean i can understand if kpop is popular in korea but is it popular in the usa now? hvnt really listened to music in years lol. i just listen to old stuff from decades past if i feel like listening to music

Is extremely popular in asia. (it’s even big in china)

It is. McDonald sells kpop stuff with their happy meal i think.

And many kpop groups are in well known us tv shows like the ellen show.

Overwatch has a nice balance of different cultures, I’d hate to see it go like (as you mention) League of Legends where Asian influences completely dominate content.

Hello StreetPig, yes, we have that, kind of, but country genre has been in our country for some time now but is not mainstream.

You’re referring to BTS I believe, which is the only real mainstream broadcasting you’ll hear in the US.

That’s a stretch, and a talk show featuring them hardly means they are popular in the US.

I don’t think that lol is completely dominated by asian cultur. And even if, it’s not a bad thing. :flushed:

Blackpink, too.
And it can be popular without it being “mainstream”.

They are in many american tv shows.

If they where irrelevant they wouldn’t be there.
