Kiriko reload feels… weird?

It has happened many times that I manually reload Kiriko‘s shurikens, then climb a wall / heal just to find myself in the next fight with 1 shuriken left.

I feel like it‘s hard to tell when she‘s finished reloading as there is no clear indicator.

Her hands stop moving.

Unpopular opinion: she shouldn’t have to reload. She should be like hanzo.

Maybe I‘m wrong about this one but the other heroe‘s reload can‘t be interrupted by actions? I dont think it has ever happened that Soldier‘s reload was interrupted by using helix rockets if thats even possible.

I get why, and I’d imagine they probably tested that at some point.

But with her crit multiplier? With the size of her kunai, landing a headshot happens a lot more frequently than you’d think, even if you’re just choke spamming.

She’d be beyond crazy

Hohohooooo yes. Interrupting the reload animation cancels it out.

To actually answer your problem, Kiriko’s process of reloading does actually wait for the animation to finish. Most other characters’ reload sequences finish up a tad before the animation ends.

that‘s what I meant, thank you fellow forum poster.

Yeah she looks and sounds like she doesn’t belong in this game too

That’s a pretty random thought.

Nah I’ve seen plenty of other people pointing out how she looks like a fortnite character and the voice acting is bland and monotone.

That would absolutely help with how she feels to play.

I feel her reload animation is a bit wonky. like it’s missing a frame or two off the end of it

I wish using your heals for an extended period of time would just auto-reload the kunai. Too many times I’ve shot off all the kunai, then started healing for a bit only to sit through the reload.

I honestly wouldn’t even know. :joy: I don’t play fortnite.

The voicing is pretty static, yeah. Doesn’t help that it totally changes when an enemy Kiriko uses her ultimate. For what it’s worth, it isn’t a bad voice - not nearly as inorganic as most of the cast, I might add - but it could see more tonal variety.

I dont mind the cancellable reload. I watched somewhere on youtube that said you can fire ofuda more often if you reload cancel your kunai with another ofuda. I dont know how true it is but it feels like its quicker to reload your ofuda if you cancel your kunai reload.

Yes, I’ve been having a similar problem with her:

This would be cool, but I would settle for a reload mechanism similar to what Ball has, where he triggers it, goes into ball form and starts doing his thing, but the reload keeps going.

Ashe and Kiriko have the weirdest reloads because they can be interrupted. I hate having to run out of ammo as Ashe only to have her reload just ONE bullet.

Sure, so long as she then has to shoot as slow as Hanzo.

That’s not how it works. You don’t need to do anything to trigger a 2 second timer in his ball form. At the end of being in ball form for 2 seconds, he reloads instantly and that’s it. If you trigger reload animation before going into ball form, it does not make any difference than not doing anything and going into ball form directly.
