considering that we’ve been growing the team with the express goal of supporting both PVE and PVP, I would be tremendously surprised if it was scrapped

Not hyping up isn’t the same thing as communication.
Hyping up is more on the marketing side that serves no real purpose other than, you know, hyping up.

Last time Team 4 advertised an Overwatch event this far in advance, we got the Blizzconline 2020 event. They showed plenty of new content that day.
Expectations are high.

Corps do some surprising things. But you have quite a bit more info than me obviously. As I said, I don’t think it will be, but it wouldn’t shock me. Being honest, very little shocks me in this world anymore.
Though did you see the questions a few posts above that random “never say never, anything is possible” comment? I honestly don’t care about the PvE stuff since it is very unlikely I will play it. I am though curious about those other questions.

TBF i’m not even surprised about the new experimental because i know how the devs just give fun toys for the same overrated dps and tanks but not to supports, oh wait zen got the fus ro dah ability back from OW2? That surprised me anyways, (Yoko talks about Zens Passive from OW2 because he got surprised for now).
Any possibility OW team could work on a tank rework for Mei next beta and let her keep her iconic freeze in some way, perhaps brainstorm some new abilities since there’s so much potential for a hero about ice?
What was done last beta to Mei was disgraceful, the backlash would have been much bigger if it was a more popular hero and personally not looking forward to OW2 if you kill fun & unique heroes like that.

I want a tank hero with a portal defense ability.
Opens up in front of him and teleports anything that goes into it a fixed distance behind him. Enemy fire, dva bomb, doomfist punch, any heros. You could port a dva bomb to the other side of a wall. Send doom punching himself off a cliff. Etc
