I’m not worried about RP, I’m worried about the slam+uppercut combo which often destroys turrets with its huge AOE and is too fast for Sym to react to. With 250 HP she has more leeway to fire 2 orbs into him. Plus with 250 HP Sym might actually counter Genji instead of being countered by him. I think she’s theoretically intended as a counter to Genji on principle, but that switches once you start facing good Genji players.
It was nice freezing Reinhardts but I don’t necessarily miss these interactions too much.
If you think replying to people like this will get anywhere it wont. If they were to give Sym 250HP then they should also give it to cree cause his hitbox is bigger than hers.
I know we’re both tired of hearing this one, but you should play Doom more imo. I started playing nothing but Doom for a while, and now that I have, I understand how to avoid his slams in many situations using map geometry. I see why they complain about it not working properly all the time, but if you can identify the areas where it doesn’t register properly, he isn’t as much a problem. You also get more of a feel for which slams are going to kill you. Not to mention the nonsense that happens if he uppercuts you indoors so you both randomly slide around the ceiling. Neither of you is gonna know where the other is half the time, so if you can fight him in an area like this, it’s ideal.
Genji, however, I haven’t had issues with since his nerfs. Playing Doom into him also made me much better at reading Genjis movements, which makes right click him as Sym a lot easier.
It was less it’s effects on Rein and Brig and more so it freezing: Hog, Widow, Hanzo, and Doom. Majority of the time, you could wall and Turret Bomb and Ulting Hog and watch the resulting panic. Widows and Hanzos that sat in front of TP for a headshot quickly lost focus and panicked when they realized they couldn’t move scoped/knocking their arrows. And like I mentioned previously, I rooted Doom, making him much more punishable than he already is during RP.
Symm has literally the smallest hitbox in the game.

Her hitbox is only relatively larger than her visible model.
They could buff her interaction with it, like allow her to return to a teleporter whenever she presses F without needing to be standing on a teleporter.
That’s far more sensible than trying to give such a disparity in hitbox to HP ratio.
If any hero has a disproportionately large hitbox it’s Tracer and Zen.
McCree will catch over 60% more pellets than Symm and can fight only slightly further away. Closer if he wants to use flashbang.
What Symm is lacking is mobility, not HP. Symm it a perfect example of a 200HP hero. But a hero like that needs some quick “get out of jail” option. That could be her teleporting to a teleporter from anywhere.

Why do you want to die on this hill? You’re investing way too much in Sym’s hitbox when you don’t need to. Her beam is extremely short range and inherently must be charged up, these are very significant limitations, you don’t need to imagine or fabricate other reasons like hitbox.
